Finally, "American Idol" (Channel 5 at 8) gives the power to the people, as the first group of the top 36 performs and viewers vote on who stays.

Only two contestants on "The Biggest Loser: Couples" (Channel 4 at 8) get keys to the gym, while the others must find creative ways to work out.

An episode of "Homeland Security USA" (Channel 7 at 8) titled "I Did One Stupid Mistake. It Cost My Whole Life" focuses on a family separated at customs in Canada after officials are suspicious about a man's past.

Tony and Gibbs swap roles on "NCIS" (Channel 9 at 8) after an old murder case strikes a bit too close to home for Tony.

On "The Mentalist" (Channel 9 at 9), Patrick Jane and the team travel to a ritzy country club -- the scene of a murder -- and investigate snobby members who are hiding secrets.

"Conversations With Michael Eisner" (CNBC at 9) debuts with the former Disney CEO interviewing celebrities, including talk show host Craig Ferguson, actress/director Penny Marshall and comic book guru Stan Lee.

Identical twins help with an experiment on "Food Detectives" (Food Network at 9) as they test whether drinking lots of water can lead to healthy skin.

Mike Rowe celebrates his 200th job on "Dirty Jobs" (Discovery at 9), journeying to Boise, Idaho, to build locomotives.

"Primetime: What Would You Do?" (Channel 7 at 10) judges people's reactions when a stranger asks a young girl about a supposedly lost puppy, and when a woman's friend plans to marry a much younger suitor.

The team tries to find a mom and her son on "Without a Trace" (Channel 9 at 10) after the pair disappear following the mom's trip to a self-defense class.

On Part 1 of the season finale, the "Leverage" (TNT at 10) crew is out for revenge against an evil CEO who caused the death of Nate's son.

"The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" (Channel 4, 11:35) hosts actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, extreme athlete Travis Pastrana and musician Andrew Bird.

Bonnie Hunt is on "Late Show With David Letterman" (Channel 9, 11:35) and M. Ward performs.
