SEXUAL ASSAULTS

ANACOSTIA AND HAYES STREETS, 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Feb. 6. A male sexually assaulted a girl at a residence.

GAULT PL., 3:31 to 4:35 a.m. Dec. 18. A male forced a female pedestrian into a residence and sexually assaulted her.

ROBBERIES

CHANNING ST., 2200 block, 2:22 to 2:45 p.m. Feb. 7. Two gunmen robbed a male pedestrian of property and fled in a vehicle with a male accomplice.

D ST., 1200 block, 5:45 to 5:48 p.m. Feb. 5. A gunman robbed a male pedestrian of a coat and fled with a male accomplice.

DOUGLAS AND SOUTH DAKOTA AVENUES, 3:45 a.m. Feb. 7. A gunman forced a man from his vehicle and fled in it.

EVARTS ST., 2400 block, 2:20 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 7. A gunman and a male accomplice robbed a male of cash.

MARYLAND AVE., 1300 block, 7:30 to 7:34 p.m. Feb. 10. Three males assaulted a male pedestrian and took his cellphone and wallet.

MINNESOTA AVE., 4100 block, 7:43 a.m. Feb. 8. Two gunmen robbed three people of cash and fled in a vehicle.

NEW YORK AVE., 1700 block, 7:25 to 7:27 a.m. Feb. 5. A male robbed a female pedestrian of property and fled in a vehicle.

NEWTON ST., 1600 block, 2:28 to 2:36 p.m. Feb. 9. A gunman robbed a male of keys to his vehicle and fled in it.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1500 block, 9 p.m. Feb. 7 to 6:45 p.m. Feb. 8. An attempt was made to enter a storage area at a liquor store.

SOUTH DAKOTA AVE., 5400 block, 2:12 a.m. Feb. 11. A cash register was stolen from a government building entered by forcing open a rear door.

TRINIDAD AVE., 1300 block, 4 p.m. Feb. 5 to 8:10 a.m. Feb. 6. Tools were stolen from a residence entered by prying open a front door.

TRINIDAD AVE., 1300 block, 4 p.m. Feb. 3. A microwave oven was stolen from a building entered by forcing open a rear basement door.

THIRD ST., 1900 block, 9:10 to 10:30 a.m. Feb. 6. Property was stolen from an apartment entered forcing open a front door.

11TH ST., 1000 block, noon to 1:45 p.m. Feb. 6. A TV, a DVD player and a digital media player were stolen from a residence.

19TH ST., 900 block, 6:20 to 6:26 p.m. Feb. 6. A gunman entered a residence by force when a resident opened a door and took property.

20TH ST., 3400 block, 1 to 6:15 p.m. Feb. 6. Property was stolen from a residence entered by prying open a rear window.

49TH ST., 600 block, 9:40 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 5. A TV was stolen from a residence entered by kicking open a basement door.

49TH ST., 800 block, 1:30 p.m. Feb. 5 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 9. An air conditioner was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a rear window.

HOMICIDES

FORT STEVENS DR., 1300 block, 12:30 p.m. Feb. 6. Joseph Barton, 40, of the 1300 block of Fort Stevens Drive NW was found with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

14TH ST., 3900 block, 1:01 a.m. Feb. 8. Manuel Garcia, 23, of Northwest was found with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

ADAMS ST., 7 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 29. A male sexually assaulted a female in a residence.

FIFTH ST., 12:01 a.m. Aug 1 to 2 a.m. Sept. 4. A female sexually assaulted a boy at a residence.

ROBBERIES

CONNECTICUT AVE., 1300 block, 2:25 a.m. Feb. 7. A male snatched a female's purse containing credit cards, IDs, a cellphone and an iPod.

EUCLID ST., 1400 block, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6. Two males followed a male into an elevator, and one demanded property and placed a handgun to his back. He was pushed out of the elevator on the next floor, and his coat, cellphone and wallet were taken.

GALLATIN ST., 200 block, 4 to 4:02 a.m. Feb. 5. Three masked gunmen got out of a vehicle in an alley and robbed a pedestrian of a cellphone.

GEORGIA AVE., 4000 block, 10:45 p.m. Feb. 7. Two gunmen approached three pedestrians in an alley and took a driver's license. The gunmen fled in a vehicle.

ILLINOIS AVE., 4900 block, 10 to 10:30 p.m. Feb. 7. Three men chased a male pedestrian and assaulted him. One hit him on the head with an object and demanded his wallet. The men fled without property.

K ST., 200 block, 6:25 to 6:27 p.m. Feb. 7. A man demanded a wallet from a male pedestrian. The pedestrian was hit in the face and robbed of credit cards.

K ST., 600 block, 2:30 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. Jan. 1. A female withdrew money from a bank, then was grabbed by a male after she walked away from the building. The male demanded money, and she complied.

KENYON ST., 700 block, 12:01 a.m. Feb. 10. Two men demanded money from a male, who did not comply. He was hit on the head with rocks, and his backpack, containing a passport, a check card, a uniform and a cellphone, was taken.

LANIER PL., 1700 block, 10:15 p.m. Feb. 6. A man reached into his waistband and followed a male pedestrian. The pedestrian became afraid and gave up cash.

NEWTON ST., 1700 block, 11:01 p.m. Jan. 8. A male and two accomplices approached two people near a vehicle. One showed a handgun, told the two people he was homeless and demanded money. The pair complied, and the robbers fled.

PARKWOOD PL., 1300 block, 10:45 p.m. Feb. 8. A woman approached a male pedestrian and placed her hand in her pocket to imply she was armed. The pedestrian was led into an alley, where a man and a woman sat in a vehicle. The woman got out of the car, asked for his name and told him that they were police. He asked them to identify themselves, and one of the women sprayed pepper in his face. They fled with a cellphone and a wallet.

QUINCY ST., 1300 block, 1:40 to 1:45 p.m. Jan. 6. A person asked a pedestrian for money, and the pedestrian walked away. The pedestrian was hit on the head and robbed of property.

ROCK CREEK CHURCH RD., 700 block, 1:36 to 1:38 a.m. Feb. 7. A man asked a male for money, and the male didn't comply. The man fled after hitting the male's face.

S ST., 100 block, 7:40 to 7:48 a.m. Feb. 8. A gunman demanded money from a male pedestrian, who gave up a wallet. The gunman threw the wallet on the ground after removing property from it and fled.

T ST., 800 block, 3:20 p.m. Feb. 7. Two men assaulted a male and took a set of keys and cash. The assailants fled.

TUCKERMAN ST., 1400 block, 1:20 a.m. Feb. 7. A male passenger in a taxi placed his hand in his pocket to imply he was armed, took money from the driver and fled on foot.

WALLACH PL., 1300 block, 6:20 p.m. Feb. 6. A gunman approached a pedestrian from behind, demanded money and threatened to shoot him. The pedestrian gave up cash, and the gunman fled.

FIFTH ST., 1700 block, 1:05 a.m. Feb. 7. Three males armed with a handgun got out of a vehicle and took a pedestrian's keys.

EIGHTH ST., 4900 block, 7:02 to 7:03 p.m. Feb. 6. Two men demanded property from a pedestrian, and a fight ensued. The pedestrian's arm was cut with a knife. Nothing was reported taken.

EIGHTH ST., 5300 block, 2:15 p.m. Feb. 11. Two boys offered to help a female park her car. She accepted, and they entered the car and fled in it.

11TH ST., 1300 block, 10 p.m. Feb. 7. Two gunmen entered a convenience store and demanded money. An employee was assaulted and robbed before they fled.

11TH ST., 2800 block, 8:30 a.m. Feb. 7. Three masked males entered a grocery store, and one showed a handgun and demanded money. The robbers fled with cash.

14TH AND OAK STREETS, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9. Two males approached a female pedestrian, and one snatched her cellphone.

14TH AND QUINCY STREETS, 6 p.m. Feb. 11. A man and a woman approached a male pedestrian, and the woman placed a knife to his stomach and threatened in Spanish to kill him. He was ordered to walk toward an alley, where she took his chains, bank card and rings. The robbers fled.

14TH ST., 3200 block, 10:20 p.m. Feb. 6. A gunman entered a restaurant and demanded money. An employee gave up cash, and he fled.

14TH ST., 3900 block, 3:57 p.m. Feb. 9. A man riding a bicycle snatched a male's cellphone and fled.

15TH ST., 2300 block, 11:30 p.m. Feb. 7 to 1:05 a.m. Feb. 9. A gunman approached a male in the hallway of a residential building and demanded money. The male said he didn't have cash, and the man repeated the demand and struck the male with the handgun. Another man approached and assaulted the male until he ran outside and called for help. The robbers fled without property.

18TH ST., 900 block, 2:01 a.m. Feb. 7. Three males approached a female as she entered a vehicle. Her purse, containing a cellphone, a passport and a debit card, was snatched.

18TH ST., 1500 block, 10:05 to 10:15 p.m. Feb. 8. A person approached a male from behind, snatched his wallet from his pocket and fled through an alley.

18TH ST., 2400 block, 2:36 a.m. Feb. 8. A man assaulted a male acquaintance until a witness intervened. A man, 19, was arrested.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BLAIR RD., 6000 block, 1 p.m. Jan. 4 to 9 a.m. Feb. 5. Several coats were stolen from a storage facility.

CALIFORNIA ST., 1800 block, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 8. Credit cards, a Social Security card and a voter ID were stolen from a residence entered by cutting a bathroom window screen.

CALIFORNIA ST., 1800 block, 9:15 a.m. to 6:10 p.m. Feb. 10. A laptop and an iPod were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked window.

CHESAPEAKE ST., 4700 block, 7:45 a.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 11. A flat-screen TV and two computers were stolen from a residence entered by prying open a rear basement door.

CHILLUM PL., 6400 block, 4 p.m. Feb. 9 to 5:45 a.m. Feb. 10. Property was stolen from a restaurant entered through a ceiling exhaust fan.

DELAFIELD PL., 300 block, 10:30 a.m. Feb. 7. Three females assaulted a person in an apartment after an argument. An arrest was made.

GEORGIA AVE., 2800 block, 11:40 p.m. Feb. 6. Several cartons of cigarettes and T-shirts were stolen from a convenience store.

GEORGIA AVE., 4900 block, 4:30 p.m. Feb. 5 to 10:45 a.m. Feb. 6. An intruder entered a convenience store through the roof, searched the area, ate food and fled through a rear door.

INGRAHAM ST., 1200 block, 8:17 a.m. Feb. 10. A bag was stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a basement door.

K ST., 1900 block, 3 p.m. Feb. 6 to 6 a.m. Feb. 8. A laptop was stolen from a locked file box at a construction area entered by breaking a lock.

L ST., 1-99 block, 11 to 11:02 p.m. Feb. 10. A boy kicked open a front door of a residence, assaulted a resident and fled.

POTOMAC ST., 1300 block, 8:40 p.m. Feb 7. A man entered a residence by breaking a basement door window. Residents returned and saw him leaving with a jar containing cash. A fight ensued, and he fled. The jar and money were recovered.

S ST., 1700 block, 3:15 to 7:25 p.m. Feb. 11. Two laptops were stolen from a residence entered through an attic.

THOMAS CIR., 1-99 block, 6 p.m. Feb. 6 to 5:50 a.m. Feb. 9. A cellphone was stolen from a church entered by forcing open a door.

W ST., 1600 block, 10:14 p.m. Feb. 7. Carlton Hill, 25, of Clinton was found with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

G ST., 1200 block, 1 a.m. Feb. 10. A male with a knife and a female accomplice forced their way into an apartment and robbed a resident of cash and keys.

GOOD HOPE RD., 2500 block, 2:40 to 2:41 p.m. Feb. 9. A gunman robbed a male pedestrian of a coat. A man, 18, was arrested.

GOOD HOPE RD., 2700 block, 6:30 to 6:35 p.m. Feb. 6. A male assaulted a male in a restaurant and robbed him of cash.

GALVESTON ST., 1-99 block, 6:45 to 9:19 a.m. Feb. 5. A video game system, a video game, a flat-screen TV and a jacket were stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a front door.

IRVINGTON ST., 100 block, 9 to 11:30 p.m. Feb. 9. A male intruder left an apartment when two residents returned and fled in a vehicle. A CD player, a cellphone, two purses and a wallet were reported stolen.
