Maya Moore scored 16 points, Tiffany Hayes added 15 and No. 1 Connecticut cruised to a 75-39 victory last night over host Providence to remain undefeated.

The Huskies (26-0, 12-0 Big East) opened the game with an 11-0 run and never trailed.

Chandler McCabe led the Friars (9-16, 3-9) with eight points.

The Huskies, who led 39-18 at halftime, hit Providence with a 25-0 run to open the second half and built a 40-point lead.

Providence didn't score a second-half basket until 9 minutes 22 seconds had expired when McCabe made a three-pointer.

· OKLAHOMA STATE 58, TEXAS 52: Andrea Riley caught a long inbounds pass and scored on an easy layup to seal the Cowgirls' victory over the No. 12 Longhorns in Austin.

With a little more than 20 seconds left and Oklahoma State (15-9, 4-7 Big 12) up 55-52, Riley ran the length of the court to catch a full-court pass and convert the easy layup.

Riley finished with a game-high 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists as the Cowgirls upset Texas (19-6, 7-4). Oklahoma State's Tegan Cunningham finished with 13 points, including a free throw for the final score.

· XAVIER 72, LA SALLE 42: Junior guard Dee Dee Jernigan had 14 points and 10 rebounds for her second career double-double, and the No. 17 Musketeers relied on their defense and rebounding to beat the Explorers in Cincinnati for their 14th straight victory.

Xavier (23-4, 11-0 Atlantic 10) extended the second-longest winning streak in school history and its best start in Atlantic 10 play. They dominated the boards 40-22 and never let La Salle (10-16, 1-10) get any traction on offense.
