Montgomery County Police are seeking help finding a missing wooden seat back valued at more than $2,000.
The seatback was part of a hand-carved bench located at the intersection of Woodmont Ave. and Elm St. in Bethesda. Police believe the missing seat back was stolen between 8 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
The bench is one of a series that feature poetry and are placed at Bethesda's Circulator bus stops.
Crafted by a local artist, the seatback reads "Good that ice, or I'd have missed Feathered down clouds, orange and pink Curved across the windshield."
