Eleia Roddy and Amani Franklin scored 18 points each as Kentucky beat No. 13 Tennessee, 66-56, last night in Lexington, Ky., handing the struggling defending champions their first defeat at Memorial Coliseum in 23 years.

The Wildcats (14-12, 4-7 Southeastern) beat the Lady Vols for just the second time in 30 meetings. They came into the game having lost six of seven, and beat a ranked opponent for the first time this season.

Tennessee (18-8, 7-4) has lost consecutive games for the first time this season, following Monday's 62-54 defeat against Duke.

Kentucky took advantage of Tennessee with a 15-2 run in the second half, surprisingly after Roddy picked up her third foul and was sent to the bench.

· VIRGINIA 84, MIAMI 75: Lyndra Littles hit a game-tying heave in regulation and finished with 27 points as the No. 23 Cavaliers beat the visiting Hurricanes in overtime.

Monica Wright added 21 points and Aisha Mohammed had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Virginia (20-7, 6-5 Atlantic Coast Conference), which ended a two-game losing streak.

Miami (13-13, 2-9) led most of the way in search of its first victory against a ranked team in more than three years, but saw Littles tie it with a no-look heave from the foul line that banked in with 3.8 seconds left in regulation.

Cavaliers Coach Debbie Ryan said she wasn't surprised by Littles's shot.

"I really thought that was going to go in," Ryan said. "Lyndra makes circus shots all the time."

· VANDERBILT 73, AUBURN 70: In Nashville, Merideth Marsh hit two free throws with 11 seconds left, and the No. 18 Commodores held off the No. 3 Tigers, tying Auburn atop the SEC with two games left in the regular season.
