The nation's leading 3-point shooter hit five of his six attempts from beyond the arc, including a pair during a 21-7 run by the Bluejays to break open a tight game in the second half.

Neither team led by more than four before halftime. But Creighton (23-6), which led 30-27 at the break, took control by scoring 11 of the first 13 points of the second half.

Antoine Young had consecutive baskets during that stretch, and Kaleb Korver added a 3-pointer to put the Jays on top 41-29 with 15:03 to play. Kenny Lawson later followed Woodfox's two 3-pointers with a two-handed dunk to give Creighton its largest lead at 51-34.

Cam Long, who finished with 23 points, helped the Patriots (18-9) creep back into the game late with a 3-pointer that cut the margin to eight. A Ryan Pearson basket pulled George Mason within 64-58 with 2:33 remaining before the Jays scored eight consecutive points to pull away.

Creighton, which won its eighth straight game, shot 58 percent from the floor (15 of 26) in the second half. The Patriots, on the other hand, missed eight of their first nine after the intermission while the Jays opened their lead.

Young tallied 13 of Creighton's 30 bench points, while Lawson had 10 points and seven rebounds. Darryl Monroe had seven points, 10 rebounds and six assists for George Mason.
