Yesterday's 63-57 victory at Patriot Center marked the first win in 45 tries, dating from 1974-75. The victory snapped the longest winless drought against one opponent among NCAA Division I schools.
The Patriots (4-22, 2-13) used a 15-3 run at the start of the second half to break a 30-all tie and earn their second consecutive CAA home win. Old Dominion, a conference power that beat George Mason 73-42 on Jan. 15, dropped to 14-11, 9-6.
Brittany Poindexter added 15 points for the Patriots and Brittney Wilkins scored 12.
