D.C. police are searching this morning for a 19-year-old man who suffers from Down syndrome and did not return as scheduled to his Northwest Washington home.

Juan Monterrey was last seen in the lobby of his building at 7:30 a.m. Thursday morning waiting for a school bus. Family members called the police after he failed to return from volunteer work at Washington Hospital Center to his home in the 3200 block of Wisconsin Avenue. He is described as a light-complexioned Hispanic, who is 5'3" tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair with blonde highlights. Monterrey was wearing glasses, a black jacket with gray stripes, a blue t-shirt, khaki pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information should contact D.C. police at 202-727-9099.
