-- A March 3 A-section article about a proposal to separate the Census Bureau from the Commerce Department incorrectly described the National Institutes of Health as an independent agency. The NIH is part of the Department of Health and Human Services.
-- The Reliable Source column in the Feb. 25 Style section incorrectly identified the security detail with former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice. She is protected by the State Department's Bureau of Diplomatic Security, not the Secret Service.
