KidsPost: Doing Time
|
|
If there are two things kids know about, it's crime -- and punishment.
Crime: The 4-year-old who hurls Legos at his little sister.
Punishment: Time out.
Crime: The 10-year-old who says she studied for that social studies test but didn't.
Punishment: No Jonas Brothers for you.
Crime: The 13-year-old caught texting during a test at school.
Punishment: Computer privileges gone for a month -- and that's just the beginning, young man!
Let's face it, trying to figure out the consequences of bad actions is a huge part of what being a kid is all about.
Consider: You really want a piece of that cake Mom just made for the school bake sale, but she said no. So, you run the scenario:
-- "Will I get caught?" Yeah, she's probably going to notice a huge corner chunk missing.
