The 5-foot-7 returning All-Met and school's all-time scoring leader averaged 22 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to help the Panthers reach the Maryland 3A championship. Will play for James Madison.

The 5-foot-9, long-armed Marshall averaged 16.4 points, 8 rebounds and 3.2 steals in spurring a turnaround season. The Bladensburg school doubled its 2007-08 win total, going 24-7.

Freedom-South Riding Sr.
Led a program that went from one win in 2005-06 to the Virginia AA Division 3 title. The 5-foot-5 floor general averaged 17 points, 5 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 4.3 assists. Will play for Colorado State.
G Ronika Ransford
H.D. Woodson Jr.
Fearless of contact, the 5-foot-8 Ransford excelled at both driving the lane and keying the Warriors' full-court pressure. Top national recruit averaged 17.5 points as Woodson won its second straight City Title.
G Katie Sheahin
Good Counsel Sr.
The Washington Catholic Athletic Conference player of the year, a 5-foot-9 standout regarded for her defensive prowess, scored 15.9 points per game, made 46 three-pointers and sank 71 percent of her foul shots. Will play for Loyola.
