INDECENT EXPOSURE

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 12000 block, 1:25 p.m. March 20. A male exposed himself in a retail store. Security officers contacted police. An arrest was made on the scene.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

APRICOT CT., 1 to 100 block, 9:30 p.m. March 19 to 6:30 a.m. March 20. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

BRICE RD., 1000 block, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 17. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

CALIFORNIA CIR., 6000 block, March 17 to 18. A Global Positioning System device and cellphones were stolen from two vehicles entered by force.

FREDERICK RD., 15500 block, March 21. A vehicle was stolen from an automobile dealership. It was recovered in Silver Spring. An employee of the dealership was arrested.

GREY COLT DR., 13900 block, March 23 to 24. A wallet was stolen from a vehicle in a garage entered through an open door.

KING FARM BLVD., 900 block, March 18 to 19. Global Positioning System device units were stolen from two vehicles.

MACDOWELL ST., 2000 block, March 23 to 24. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

NEWTON DR., 2200 block, 1:30 to 7:30 a.m. March 20. The soft top was stolen from a Jeep.

RESEARCH CT., 1 to 100 block, 8 p.m. March 17 to 7:45 a.m. March 19. A digital music player, a radar detector and a stereo were among items stolen from two vehicles entered by force.

RESEARCH CT., 1 to 100 block, 11:30 p.m. March 17 to 6:45 a.m. March 18. A Global Positioning System device and a wallet were among items stolen from two unlocked vehicles.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1500 and 1700 blocks, March 19. Two Global Positioning System device units, a laptop computer, a projector, a purse and cash were among items stolen from six vehicles, of which five were entered by force.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 12100 block, March 18 to 19. A briefcase was stolen from a vehicle broken into while parked at a restaurant.

ROCK RUN DR., 10600 block, 9:20 a.m. March 20. Three men wearing masks rang a doorbell at a residence. An occupant called police. The intruders fled.

TEMPLETON PL., 1500 block, 8 to 10 p.m. March 23. A laptop computer was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

VEIRS MILL AND RANDOLPH ROADS, 1:30 p.m. March 19. A man distracted a female waiting for a bus while a woman took her purse from a bench. The couple then fled.

WASHINGTON AVE. W., 1200 block, 9 p.m. March 17 to 8:45 a.m. March 18. A digital music player and a Global Positioning System device were among items stolen from two vehicles entered by force.

WILLOWBROOK DR., 10400 block, 6 p.m. March 20 to 9 a.m. March 21. An attempt was made to enter a construction site.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

ERTTER DR., 4900 block, 4:01 a.m. March 21. A 1993 Honda Civic was stolen.

SCHUYKILL RD., 11100 block, March 20. A vehicle was stolen. It was recovered, stripped of parts, two miles away the same day.

ROBBERIES

ROSEDALE AVE., 4700 block, 9 p.m. March 23. A man entered an office and grabbed the owner of the business, then fled with cash.

ROSEMARY HILLS DR., 1900 block, 4:45 a.m. March 21. Two people in a parking lot robbed a man unloading newspapers from a vehicle of a wallet at gunpoint.

WILLARD AVE., 4500 block, 12:15 a.m. March 24. Two men forced a male into a building at gunpoint, then robbed him of property.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BETHESDA AVE., 4800 block, 10:30 p.m. March 22. An attempt was made to enter a tea shop. A man was seen fleeing. Nothing was reported missing.

BEXHILL DR. W., 9700 block, 8:40 p.m. March 19. Change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

CEDAR LANE, 10000 and 10100 blocks, March 19 to 20. Two vehicles were entered by force. A laptop computer was stolen from one. Nothing was reported missing from the other.

DRESDEN ST., 4200 block, March 16 to 18. Property was stolen from a residence.

DRESDEN ST., 4300 block, March 19 to 20. A laptop computer was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

DUNNEL LANE, 3900 block, 3 p.m. March 19 to 7 a.m. March 23. A digital music player and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

FAIRMONT AVE., 4900 block, March 19 to 20. Property was stolen from a production company.

GRUBB RD., 8300 block, March 21. Police responding to a report of a male acting suspiciously in a natural food store discovered that he had stolen property from the store. A man was arrested.

HIGHLAND AVE., 4400 block, 5:15 to 8:30 p.m. March 23. An attempt was made to break into a residence.

HUTCH PL., 3500 block, 11:45 p.m. March 16. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a residence entered by force.

MONTGOMERY LANE, 4700 block, March 19 to 20. Property was stolen from a business entered by force.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 11300 and 16000 blocks, 11:20 p.m. March 18 to 1 a.m. March 21. A purse and a Global Positioning System device were stolen from two vehicles entered by force.

STRAND DR. AND EDSON LANE, 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 21. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

WHEATLEY ST., 10500 block, 3:30 p.m. March 19. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

WISCONSIN AVE., 7000 block, March 17 to 18. Property was stolen from a business entered by force.

WOODFIELD RD., 4600 block, 9:45 p.m. March 20 to 8:40 a.m. March 21. An ignition locking device and loose coins were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

GEORGIA AVE., 9500 block, 8 a.m. March 22. A man groped a female pedestrian. A Takoma Park man, 40, was arrested.

ASSAULTS

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8500 block, 8:10 p.m. March 20. During an argument, a male struck a man in the head with a chair.

ROBBERIES

CHERRY HILL RD., 12000 block, 9:02 a.m. March 23. A male approached a woman, struck her in the head and robbed her of property, then fled in a waiting vehicle. A Gaithersburg man, 25, a Greenbelt male, 17, and two Beltsville males, 17, and 19, were arrested.

DECEMBER WAY, 11400 block, 9:22 p.m. March 19. A man robbed a male pedestrian of property at knifepoint.

PINEY BRANCH RD. AND UNIVERSITY BLVD., 5:43 a.m. March 22. A man with a knife threatened a female waiting for a bus and demanded her jewelry. As a bus was pulling up, he grabbed her. She kicked him and escaped to the bus. The assailant fled empty-handed.

STEWART LANE, 11500 block, 9:50 p.m. March 20. Three males, one of them armed with a bat, attacked a deliveryman and robbed him of food.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

FENWICK LANE, 1300 block, 4:30 p.m. March 23 to 5:38 a.m. March 24. Property was stolen from a restaurant entered by force.

GRANT AVE., 10200 block, midnight to 5 a.m. March 17. Property was stolen from a residence.

WEAVER ST., 9400 block, 7:35 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. March 16. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

BREEWOOD PARK AREA, 2 to 5:40 p.m. March 20. A man forced an acquaintance to this location, sexually assaulted her and held her against her will.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

RANDOLPH RD., 2100 block, 4:15 p.m. March 18. An employee working under contract to an apartment complex exposed himself to a woman in her residence.

ASSAULTS

ELKIN ST., 11500 block, 9:30 a.m. March 21. A person stabbed a person with a knife. Police said it occurred during a domestic dispute.

VALLEYWOOD DR., 13000 block, 10:42 p.m. March 18. A person assaulted an acquaintance. Police said alcohol was a contributing factor to the incident.

ROBBERIES

GEORGIA AVE., 13500 block, 5:15 p.m. March 23. A man got out of a vehicle and tried to rob a male pedestrian at gunpoint. The victim ran to a nearby home, and the gunman got back in the silver Toyota Corolla, which was driven away by another man.

GOODHILL RD. AND FLORAL CT., 1:20 p.m. March 16. A man and a woman attacked a male at a bus stop and demanded cash. When the victim broke free and ran to a nearby residence, the assailants fled empty-handed.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 11100 block, 2:58 p.m. March 23. Two males threatened a youth and robbed him of property from his pocket.

VEIRS MILL RD., 12200 block, 3 a.m. March 21. A male riding a bicycle stopped near a pedestrian. While they were talking, five males approached, attacked the pedestrian from behind and robbed him of property.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ADVENTURINE WAY, 2200 block, 9 a.m. to 5:40 p.m. March 18. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

COLEFAIR DR., 13600 block, 10:30 a.m. to 4:06 p.m. March 9. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

DABNEY CT., 1 to 100 block, March 17. A burglary occurred at a residence. Three men, including an occupant's acquaintance, were arrested.

DOWNS DR., 1100 block, 8 a.m. to 2:05 p.m. March 23. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

FARMCREST PL., 14500 block, 11:45 p.m. March 21. An attempt was made to enter a residence.

MCCOMAS AVE., 2900 block, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 19. Property was stolen from a residence.

MUSICMASTER CT., 1 to 100 block, 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. March 23. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

NORA DR., 1000 block, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 19. Two males got out of a red truck, then broke into a residence and stole property. The intruders fled in the truck.

PIPING ROCK DR., 600 block, 12:05 a.m. March 20 to 8 a.m. March 21. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force. An attempt was made to break into a second residence.

SERPENTINE WAY, 12800 block, 11:30 to 2:30 p.m. March 20. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

WHISPERING PINES CT. AND PEPPERTREE AND PEARTREE LANES, 12:15 a.m. March 16 to 9 a.m. March 21. Property was stolen from two vehicles. A third vehicle was stolen.

MOYER RD., 9900 block, 6:30 p.m. March 21. Two male youths, one of them armed with a knife, threatened a person at an elementary school. No injuries were reported.

BETHESDA CHURCH RD., 9800 block, 12:45 a.m. March 19. A male assaulted an acquaintance.

LAYTONSVILLE RD., 6800 block, 12:19 p.m. March 24. Four males wearing masks robbed a convenience store of property at gunpoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BUBBLING SPRING TERR., 18300 block, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. March 23. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

CENTURY BLVD., 20000 block, March 19. Global Positioning System device units were stolen from two unlocked vehicles. Six adults were arrested.

CRYSTAL ROCK DR., March 17. A male tried to break into an acquaintance's residence. An arrest was made.

DAMASCUS PARK LANE, 10400 block, 10 a.m. March 27 to 11:55 a.m. March 18. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

FALLING STAR RD., 18900 block, 7:30 a.m. to 5:56 p.m. March 23. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

GALLOP HILL TERR., 14000 block, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. March 17. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

LAUREL GROVE PL., 12500 block, March 19 to 20. Tools were stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

LAUREL GROVE PL., 12500 block, March 24. A burglary occurred at a residence. An acquaintance of an occupant is suspected.

QUASSIA CT., 11800 block, 2 to 2:10 a.m. March 21. Property was stolen from a residence.

ROCKINGHAM RD., 13800 block, AND BROMFIELD DR., 13900 block, 12:01 a.m. March 30. Police responding to a call about a burglary in progress learned of other burglaries nearby and located five males. A Germantown man, 18, and four youths, ages 13 to 15, were arrested. The adult was charged with first-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit each offense. Each juvenile also was charged with first-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary and conspiracy.

TULIP POPLAR WAY, 21100 block, 11 p.m. March 19 to 6 a.m. March 20. A garage at a residence was ransacked and property was vandalized. Nothing was reported missing.

WILLOW SPRINGS CT., 12500 block, 5 p.m. March 23 to 11 a.m. March 24. A residence was entered.

WISTERIA DR. AND GREAT SENECA HWY., March 16 to March 17. Property was stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

SKIPJACK DR., 12100 block, 3:15 a.m. March 20. An attempt was made to steal a 1995 Acura Integra by pushing it out of a driveway and tampering with the ignition. Four people fled when the car's owner awoke to the sound of a door closing and yelled out a window.

SIDE DR. W., 10000 block, 12:45 a.m. March 21. Two men robbed two men sitting in a vehicle in a parking lot of property at gunpoint.

VILLAGE AVE. E., AND CINNABAR DR., 8 p.m. March 17. Two males attacked a man after he got off a bus, knocked him to the ground and robbed him of cash.

QUINCE ORCHARD RD., 600 block, 8 p.m. March 22. Three men attacked a man in the parking lot behind a grocery store and robbed him of property.

BRAMBLE BUSH CT., 9100 block, 7:40 to 8:13 p.m. March 19. Property was stolen from a residence.

DUNBRIDGE WAY, 19200 block, 7 p.m. March 17 to 8 a.m. March 18. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

KING JAMES WAY, 17000 block, 6:30 p.m. March 19 to March 23. Tools were stolen from two vehicles entered by force.

PALM SPRINGS DR. AND MUDDY BRANCH RD., 1:15 to 2 p.m. March 18. Tools were stolen from the back of an unlocked truck in a parking lot.

QUINCE ORCHARD BLVD., 600 block, 4 a.m. March 17. Property was stolen from a beer-and-wine store entered by force. Three males were seen on the premises.

RESEARCH BLVD., 2600 block, 11:15 p.m. March 18 to noon March 19. Coins were stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

SIDE DR. W., 300 block, March 17 to 18. A digital music player was stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

TARFSIDE LANE, 7400 block, 8:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. March 19. An attempt was made to enter a residence.

HORNERS LANE N., 400 block, 11:30 p.m. March 25. A man, 31, was arrested and charged with second-degree domestic assault.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

MACDOWELL ST., 2000 block, 9 a.m. March 23 to 11 a.m. March 24. A video-game console and several pairs of sneakers were stolen from a residence.

MARTINS LANE, 300 block, 6:30 to 6:45 p.m. March 25. A cellphone, a camera and a wallet were stolen from an unlocked locker at a swim facility.

MARTINS LANE, 300 block, 6:30 to 6:45 p.m. March 28. Cash was stolen from a wallet in a locker at a swim facility.

PICCARD DR., 1300 block, 4:20 to 10:30 p.m. March 28. Two laptop computers and cash were stolen from a hotel room.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1200 block, 3:15 p.m. March 26. Several video-game cartridges were stolen from an electronics store.

TEMPLETON PL., 1500 block, 8 to 10 p.m. March 23. A laptop computer, cash, and several CDs were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Takoma Park

ROBBERIES

SLIGO MILL RD., 6400 block, 6:15 p.m. March 29. Two males got out of a vehicle driven by a third male and at gunpoint robbed three males who were working on a vehicle's brakes.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

MYRTLE AVE., 1200 block, 10 p.m. March 27 to 2 p.m. March 28. A vehicle was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

HOUSTON AVE., 600 block, 6:40 a.m. April 1. A 1995 Honda Accord was stolen.

HUDSON AVE., 600 block, 11:43 a.m. March 30. A 2007 Toyota Rav4 was stolen. It was recovered later in the day in the 7600 block of Maple Avenue.
