Projects Proposed
1. Church. Land Design Inc., Bowie. A preliminary plan was submitted for Christ Dominion Church to build a church on the south side of Greenbelt Road, 2,000 feet west of Lanham Severn Road, Greenbelt.
2. Office buildings. GW LLC, Clarksville. A site plan was submitted for an office park of three buildings on seven acres on Lanham Severn Road, south of Greenbelt Road, opposite Woodstream Drive, Lanham.
3. Church. NITZ Development and Construction, Springfield. A site plan was submitted for New Life Assembly of God to build a church on 20.5 acres on Central Avenue, between Hill Road and Gentry Lane, Capitol Heights.
4. Residential units. M. Leo Storch Management, Baltimore. A rezoning application was submitted to allow residential units to be added on 16.7 acres at the Hilltop Plaza Shopping Center in the northwest quadrant of Race Track Road and Route 450, Bowie.
5. Student housing and retail space. 8400 Baltimore LLC, Bethesda. A site plan was submitted for 272 units of student housing and 18,960 square feet of retail on 2.95 acres on the west side of Route 1, between Berwyn House Road and Pontiac Street, College Park.
6. Office space. Commons at Largo LLC, Washington. A site plan was submitted for 989,560 square feet of office space in two buildings on 19 acres in the northwest corner of Lottsford Road and Harry S. Truman Drive, Largo.
7. Commercial building. South County Construction, Clinton. A building permit was submitted for a $2 million commercial building at 7725 Delano Rd., Clinton.
8. Fire/EMS building. Volunteer Fire Company of Capitol Heights. A building permit was submitted for a $1 million building to house Fire/EMS operations at 6061 Central Ave., Capitol Heights.
Projects Approved
9. Townhouses. Westphalia Row Partners LLC, Hyattsville. A site plan was approved for 140 townhouse units on 20.9 acres in the southwest quadrant of Ritchie Marlboro and Sansbury roads, Upper Marlboro.
10. Church addition. Evangelist Assembly of God, Clinton. A site plan was approved for a 47,500-square-foot addition to the church on Branch Avenue, 1800 feet north of Allentown Road, Clinton.
11. School addition. CSD Architects, Baltimore. A site plan was approved for the Beltsville Adventist School to build 3,950 square feet of additional classrooms on 6.24 acres on Ammendale Road, east of Old Gunpowder Road, Beltsville.
12. Single-family lots. Jack Hillegas, Glenn Dale. A final plan of subdivision was approved for four single-family lots on 2.17 acres in the northwest quadrant of Prospect Hill Road and Glenn Dale Boulevard, Glenn Dale.
Building Permits
13. Townhouses. Ryan Homes, Beltsville. Building permits were issued for five townhouses on Bolin Terrace, in the Oak Creek Club, Upper Marlboro.
14. Church. Mel McLaughlin Co., Upper Marlboro. A building permit was issued to Westphalia United Methodist Church for a $4.9 million church at 9363 D'Arcy Rd., Upper Marlboro.
