Introducing Online Outlet Shopping Site theOutnet.com

What's in Store

A tight budget can make a weekend road trip to your local outlet mall seem like a good idea -- but a long drive and busloads of shoppers can kill the appeal of retail therapy. Enter TheOutnet.com, a new online shopping site (scheduled to launch this weekend) from the creators of high-end retailer Net-a-Porter.com.

As a sort of penny-pinching little sister, TheOutnet.com will carry items previously sold on Net-a-Porter.com, including goods from Chloé, Christian Louboutin, Diane von Furstenberg, Hervé Léger and Oscar de la Renta, as well as outlet-only pieces. The site will offer previous-season items from more than 200 designers, with steep discounts of up to as much as 80 percent. New merchandise will pop up every Tuesday and Thursday, which means you can get the outlet experience without missing a minute of the weekend.
