A man was fatally stabbed yesterday at an apartment complex in Fort Washington, Prince George's County police said.

The man was found on the ground the 8700 block of Cumbria Court, near the intersection of Palmer Road and Indian Head Highway, shortly after 5 p.m. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not released the man's identity and said they were working to establish both a motive and suspect in the killing.

The stabbing is the 33rd homicide so far this year in Prince George's County. At this time last year the county had recorded 35 killings.
