Fifteen-year Microsoft vet Richard Teversham is defecting to Apple. Teversham most recently served as senior director of business, insights and strategy for Xbox in Europe; he spent two years as Xbox's platform and marketing director before that.

He's joining Apple's European office in an "education-related" role, according to MCV. Given the iPhone's growing popularity as a gaming platform, that could mean Teversham will be helping Apple's engineers collaborate better with mobile game developers, or even heading up a new internal gaming team.
