GEORGIA AVE. AND LAMONT ST., 7:30 a.m. April 29. A woman asked a female for cash, and she refused. The female was then scratched on the face and robbed of her purse. The purse contained keys and eyeglasses.

GEORGIA AVE., 3500 block, 9:30 to 9:40 p.m. April 28. A gunman robbed a pedestrian of clothing and fled. A man, 38, was arrested.

GEORGIA AVE., 5200 block, 11:27 p.m. March 18. Someone bought food from a restaurant, then asked people for cash. The person left, then returned and demanded cash and threatened someone. The person fled when an employee said that police had been contacted. An arrest was made.

GRESHAM PL., 700 block, 3 a.m. April 18 to 5 p.m. April 23. A pedestrian was robbed at gunpoint of an iPhone and a wallet containing an ID and a credit card.

HERTFORD PL., 3500 block, 10:45 to 11:30 p.m. April 23. Three males assaulted a pedestrian and took a cellphone.

HOWARD PL., 500 block, 1:20 a.m. April 28. A male got out of a vehicle, snatched a female's cellphone and fled in the vehicle.

KENYON ST., 700 block, 4:45 p.m. April 27. Two men approached a male pedestrian from behind, and one placed a sharp object to his back while the other took his bag, which contained a laptop computer, a digital camera and computer cards.

M AND NORTH CAPITOL STREETS, 2:50 a.m. April 26. A male punched a male pedestrian and took his car keys. He then fled with two others in the pedestrian's vehicle.

QUINCY ST., 1300 block, 7:30 p.m. April 23. A male and a female assaulted a pedestrian and took a cellphone.

T ST., 300 block, 3:15 a.m. April 25. Two people got out of a van and robbed a male pedestrian at gunpoint. They fled in the vehicle.

TRACY PL., 2300 block, 10:20 p.m. April 26. Two men assaulted and robbed two pedestrians at gunpoint. Wallets were taken.

U ST., 1300 block, 2:40 p.m. April 29. Two males asked an employee in a store to give them water, then left. They returned soon after and demanded money. The employee complied, and they fled.

V ST., 1300 block, 12:30 a.m. April 25 to 3:20 p.m. April 26. Two males approached a vehicle occupied by a male. He was assaulted and robbed of a wallet containing a driver's license, a Social Security card and a debit card.

V ST., 1400 block, 2 to 2:30 a.m. April 25. A pedestrian was assaulted and robbed of a wallet.

W ST., 1400 block, 11:09 p.m. April 23. A gunman demanded cash from someone at a service station; the victim complied and ran.

FIRST AND BRYANT STREETS, 1 to 1:02 a.m. April 23. Three males got out of a vehicle, and one, holding a club, demanded property from a male pedestrian. The pedestrian dropped his backpack and fled. The bag contained a set of keys, a laptop computer and a cellphone.

SIXTH AND H STREETS, 11 p.m. April 26. A male knocked a female to the ground and unsuccessfully tried to take her purse. He then fled.

SEVENTH ST., 1800 block, 1 a.m. April 25. A male pedestrian was approached by three males. One tapped his shoulder, and when he turned around, one pointed a handgun and demanded property. The pedestrian gave up a cellphone and eyeglasses. The robbers walked away.

SEVENTH ST., 4200 block, 4:40 p.m. April 29. A gunman demanded property from a male pedestrian, who dropped his cellphone. The gunman fled with the cellphone.

12TH PL., 2200 block, 11:45 p.m. April 25. A male pedestrian was approached by three people and robbed of his iPhone and wallet at gunpoint.

13TH AND MONROE STREETS, 1:30 p.m. April 19 to 8:30 p.m. April 27. A man robbed a male pedestrian of cash at knifepoint.

13TH ST., 1800 block, 9:30 to 9:40 p.m. April 28. A male struck a female's face and unsuccessfully tried to take her purse. He fled in a vehicle. The female was taken to a hospital.

14TH ST., 2000 block, 11:45 p.m. April 27 to 12:05 a.m. April 28. A male snatched a female's purse from her chair in a restaurant. She then grabbed him and recovered the purse. He hit her face with an object and fled in a vehicle.

14TH ST., 2200 block, 2:03 a.m. April 27. Two people approached five people at a bus stop and asked for cash. The two then assaulted three of the five people after all of them refused to give up cash.

14TH ST., 3100 block, 8:15 p.m. April 27. A male was seen taking a wallet from the purse of a female on an escalator. He ran after she confronted him. The wallet contained an ID, a debit card and a credit card.

14TH ST., 3600 block, 11:50 to 12:15 a.m. April 28. A man robbed a female of property and fled.

15TH ST., 2300 block, 7:20 to 7:30 a.m. April 23. A pedestrian was robbed at gunpoint.

19TH ST. AND WYOMING AVE., 2:34 to 5:09 a.m. April 26. Two men implied that they were armed with guns and assaulted two pedestrians. They fled with a cellphone and a check.

27TH ST., 1500 block, 3 a.m. April 25. Three males assaulted a male pedestrian and robbed him of a wallet containing credit cards, a driver's permit and IDs.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

COLUMBIA RD., 1800 block, 4:21 to 4:30 a.m. April 29. A male threw a rock through a front glass door of a grocery store and took cigarettes.

GEORGIA AVE., 2600 block, 2:30 to 5:49 a.m. April 25. The front door of a specialty store was smashed with a boulder. Nothing was reported stolen.

GEORGIA AVE., 3600 block, 10:20 p.m. April 15 to 8:45 a.m. April 16. Property was stolen from a liquor store entered by using a saw to damage a wall.

GEORGIA AVE., 5400 block, 12:02 a.m. April 25. Police officers responded to an alarm and found a male trying to flee an area with property. An arrest was made.

GRESHAM PL., 500 block, 6 p.m. April 27 to 1 a.m. April 28. Property was stolen from a college dormitory room.

HOLLY ST., 1400 block, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 29. Televisions, a DVD player, a video game console and a digital camera were stolen from a residence entered through an open porch window.

INGRAHAM ST., 600 block, 1:25 to 1:32 p.m. April 25. DVDs were stolen from a residence entered by smashing a rear window.

MONROE ST., 1000 block, 6:30 to 6:45 p.m. April 27. A female heard her dog barking and saw a man try to enter her home through a rear door. He fled after seeing the dog.

PARK RD., 600 block, 7:10 p.m. April 24 to 8 p.m. April 25. A video game console and a cellphone were stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a front door.

PARK RD., 1300 block, 1:35 to 3:30 a.m. April 27. Property was stolen from a specialty store entered by smashing a window.

PEABODY ST., 500 block, midnight April 1 to 11:59 p.m. April 2. A bicycle was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked garage.

PERRY PL., 1300 block, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. April 27. A DVD player was stolen from a residence, and property was damaged.

Q ST., 400 block, 2 p.m. April 24 to 11 a.m. April 28. A residence was entered by prying open a front door.

SEATON PL., 100 block, 7:30 to 10 p.m. April 22. A digital camera, a leather bag and a gift card were stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a front door.

T ST., 2000 block, 6 p.m. March 21 to 3:27 a.m. March 23. Property was stolen from a specialty store entered by throwing a concrete rock through a plate glass door.

TUCKERMAN ST., 1300 block, 9 a.m. April 18 to noon April 25. A residence was entered through an unlocked front door. A camera, a watch and jewelry boxes containing jewelry were stolen.

V ST., 1400 block, 7 a.m. to 10:11 p.m. April 28. A laptop computer and a video game system were stolen from a residence.

THIRD ST., 6000 block, 3 to 4 p.m. April 27. A driver's license, a Social Security card and a bag were stolen from a residence entered by using keys that had been left on a patio table.

15TH ST., 2400 block, 7:04 a.m. April 29. A laptop computer was stolen from a building entered through a front door.

16TH ST., 6700 block, 3 p.m. April 24. A male was seen leaving a residence with a handbag. He fled in a vehicle. The bag contained papers and hearing aides.

18TH ST, 3300 block, 3:50 to 4:50 p.m. April 28. Two laptop computers were stolen from a residence entered by opening a rear window.

27TH ST., 2800 block, 11 a.m. to 8:20 p.m. April 23. Two rings and other property were stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a basement door window.

39TH ST., 2400 block, 6:02 to 6:05 a.m. April 24. A male intruder turned off a TV in a bedroom, and a resident asked him to identify himself. The intruder walked toward the resident, then fled down stairs and through a back door.

49TH ST., 3600 block, 12:15 to 4:30 p.m. April 24. A laptop computer and a digital media player were stolen from a residence entered with a key.

HOMICIDES

BARNABY ST., 900 block, 1:36 a.m. April 24. Kwanzaa Diggs, 17, of Washington was found on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Two other males, who were also found with gunshot wounds, were taken to a hospital.

WHEELER RD., 4300 block, 12:08 a.m. April 28. Richard B. Johnson, 22, was found on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

ALABAMA AND PENNSYLVANIA AVENUES, April 28. A male sexually assaulted a female at a residence.

BENNING RD., April 15. A male sexually assaulted a female youth at a residence.

AINGER PL., 2400 block, 11:10 p.m. April 23. A gunman assaulted a male and robbed him of his vehicle and other property.

ALABAMA AVE., 1200 block, 4:51 p.m. April 24. A male tried to rob a male at a bus stop of property. An arrest was made.

ALABAMA AVE., 1400 block, 2:30 p.m. April 25. Several people assaulted a male pedestrian and took two cellphones.

ALABAMA AVE., 1500 block, 8 a.m. April 27. A male assaulted a male and took jewelry.

BARNABY ST., 800 block, 1:55 p.m. April 23. A male robbed someone at a bus stop of a purse.

BRUCE PL., 1400 block, 9:45 a.m. April 24. Three males robbed a male at a residence of jewelry. Arrests were made.

FIRTH STERLING AND HOWARD RD., 8:50 to 8:55 a.m. April 24. A male robbed a male pedestrian of a jacket. The pedestrian chased the robber and recovered his property.

G ST., 1000 block, 7:55 to 7:57 a.m. April 24. Three males robbed a female pedestrian of a purse. Arrests were made.

G ST., 1400 block, 8:49 to 8:54 p.m. April 23. A gunman robbed a male pedestrian of a wallet and a cellphone, then fled with a male accomplice.

GALVESTON ST. AND SOUTHERN AVENUE, 9:30 p.m. April 28. A gunman assaulted a male pedestrian, then fled with several accomplices.

MINNESOTA AVE., 3600 block, 4:30 p.m. April 27. Three males assaulted a male and took an athletic jersey.

PENNSYLVANIA AVE., 1200 block, 3:30 a.m. April 26. A male assaulted and robbed a male pedestrian, then fled with two accomplices.

PENNSYLVANIA AVE., 1200 block, 12:45 a.m. April 26. A male robbed a male at a service station of a digital media player and fled with an accomplice.

W ST., 3800 block, 3 to 3:05 p.m. April 23. Three people assaulted and robbed a male at a residence.

FIRST ST., 3700 block, 4:30 to 4:35 p.m. April 28. A male with a knife robbed a male pedestrian of cash.

THIRD ST., 4300 block, 1:45 p.m. April 25. Two males assaulted a male and took a cellphone.

FOURTH ST. AND MISSISSIPPI AVE., 3:30 p.m. April 27. Two males robbed a male pedestrian of property.

EIGHTH ST., 1-99 block, 12:30 a.m. April 27. A male in a vehicle implied he had a weapon and robbed a male pedestrian of a wallet.

10TH ST., 5000 block, 7:55 to 8 a.m. April 23. A male robbed a male pedestrian of cash and a jacket, then fled with several accomplices.

10TH PL., 3300 block, 2 a.m. April 27. A male with a knife demanded property from two pedestrians. The pedestrians refused, and the pedestrians fought with the robber and several accomplices. No property was reported taken.

13TH PL., 3400 block, 2:30 p.m. April 23. A male robbed a female at a residence of a laptop computer.

14TH ST., 400 block, 8:20 to 8:25 p.m. April 26. Three people assaulted a female pedestrian and took her purse.

15TH AND E STREETS, 9:30 to 9:35 p.m. April 28. Two gunmen robbed three pedestrians of property.

18TH ST. AND POTOMAC AVE., 4:23 to 4:25 p.m. April 28. A male assaulted and tried to rob a male pedestrian. The pedestrian fled. No property was reported taken.

18TH ST., 3300 block, 2:29 p.m. April 25. A gunman robbed a male of cash.

28TH AND N STREETS, 1:20 to 1:25 a.m. April 25. Two males assaulted and robbed a male pedestrian.

35TH AND EAST CAPITOL STREETS, 3:55 a.m. April 26. A gunman tried to rob a male pedestrian of property, then fled in a vehicle when an off-duty police officer intervened.

GALVESTON ST., 3 to 6 a.m. April 26. A male sexually assaulted a male in a residence.

ROBBERIES

DARRINGTON ST., 100 block, 5 a.m. April 23. Two people approached male getting out of his vehicle and robbed him of property at gunpoint. The robbers then fled in his vehicle.
