-- Royal Plantation Ocho Rios in Jamaica is offering discounts of up to 60 percent for travel Aug. 1-Oct. 31 and for Jan. 4-Dec. 21, 2010; deal applies to European plan and to all-inclusive stays. Booking deadline is May 28, and a three-night minimum is required. Also, these savings can be combined with a second deal that is valid through Dec. 20 and Jan. 4-Dec. 21, 2010: First night is free if you book a seven-night all-inclusive plan in a premium or luxury oceanfront junior suite. -- Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras in Slovakia, set to officially open in September, will offer a "soft opening" rate of $242 per night per couple through June 30, a savings of $144. -- Through June 30, Zephyr Cove Resort on Lake Tahoe, near the Nevada-California border, is offering 50 percent discounts on rooms, suites, cabins and chalets. -- Save 25 percent on a Galapagos Islands cruise departing July 7. -- Buy a Biz Bed seat aboard an OpenSkies flight between New York and Amsterdam or Paris and receive a free companion ticket. -- The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau has teamed with JetBlue and Travelocity to offer discounted packages for travel through Aug. 31. But don't delay; deadline to buy is May 10. Prices vary by trip length and hotel. For example, a seven-night package for two in late June, including round-trip airfare from Dulles and accommodations at O Hotel, a boutique property in downtown Los Angeles, is $752 per person double including taxes; priced separately, the package would cost $911 per person double. -- Gate 1 Travel is offering a deal to Ireland for fall and winter. A package that includes round-trip airfare from Dulles to Dublin and four nights' lodging at the Mespil Hotel starts at $493 per person double, including $102 taxes; cheapest rates apply to four departures in January.
