Drake seems to be pulling off the impossible: From the looks of things, the Canadian teen actor is successfully transitioning into a career as a grown-up MC. Many others have tried (David Faustino of "Married With Children" and Brian Austin Green of "Beverly Hills, 90210" come to mind), but the former "Degrassi: The Next Generation" star is gaining attention as a rapper, thanks in no small part to the mentorship of one Lil Wayne. His major-label studio debut isn't due until next year, but 22-year-old Drake (a.k.a. Aubrey Drake Graham) has a built-in fan base in the legions of kids who know him as Jimmy Brooks from "Degrassi," and they're gobbling up his mix tapes and helping to launch his latest single, "Best I Ever Had," into the radio stratosphere. Drake's appearance at Love may be one of the last chances to catch him in a nightclub setting -- once his album drops, it seems likely he'll limit his shows to scream-filled arenas.
