SECOND ST., 1900 block, 3:57 a.m. May 17. Demetrius Matthews, 20, of Maryland was found with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.


BENNING RD., 2600 block, 3:10 to 3:20 p.m. May 16. A male tried to take a vehicle from a service station and fled in another vehicle when someone intervened.

BENNING RD., 3300 block, 1:30 to 3 a.m. May 18. A gunman and two male accomplices assaulted and robbed a male pedestrian and fled in a vehicle. Three arrests were made.

BENNING RD., 4500 block, 10:25 a.m. May 19. A male robbed a female of cash.

CENTRAL AVE., 4900 block, 1 p.m. May 17. A male assaulted a male and took his vehicle.

DIVISION AVE., 300 block, 9:40 to 9:41 p.m. May 18. A male robbed a female pedestrian of a purse and fled with a male accomplice.

DIVISION AVE., 400 block, 4:20 a.m. March 20. A male with a knife robbed a male pedestrian.

DIX ST., 4700 block, 7:15 a.m. May 16. Two males assaulted a driver, robbed him of cash, forced him from the vehicle and fled in it.

DOUGLAS ST., 3000 block, 11:40 to 11:41 p.m. May 19. Three gunmen robbed a male pedestrian of property.
