1 Person Dies, 1 Hurt in Shooting

A 22-year-old man was killed and another person wounded when gunfire erupted on 16th Street NE yesterday about 3:50 a.m., D.C. police said.

Jerrell Haney of the 4200 block of Argyle Terrace NW was pronounced dead at a hospital.

He was shot in the 2000 block of 16th Street NE, and someone at the scene drove him to the hospital, police said.
