INDECENT EXPOSURE

ELMCROFT BLVD., 400 block, 10:10 a.m. May 23. A male outside exposed himself to a cleaning woman inside a rental office. A man was arrested.

ASSAULTS

GAINSBORO RD., 1900 block, 5:06 p.m. May 24. A person threatened an acquaintance with a pellet gun during a dispute between neighbors. An arrest was made.

ROBBERIES

GRANDIN AVE., 700 block, 10:29 p.m. May 22. A male robbed two pedestrians of cash. A male was arrested nearby and charged with armed robbery.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BERKSHIRE DR., 6000 block, May 18 to 19. Cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

BOILING BROOK PKWY., 4900 block, 3:30 p.m. May 26 to 9 a.m. May 27. A piece of an exhaust system was stolen from a commercial truck.

PYLE RD., 6500 block, May 21 to 22. Cash was stolen from three vehicles. Two of them were entered by force.

ROLLINS AVE., 100 block, 11:50 p.m. May 23. Two men entered a bank through the front doors, stood in the lobby briefly and then fled empty-handed. Officers responding to an alarm found both doors unlocked.

ROOSEVELT ST., 5200 block, May 19 to 20. A vehicle was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

TEMPLETON PL., 1500 block, May 19 to 21. An attempt was made to break into a residence.

THORNBUSH LANE, 10300 block, May 19 to 20. A briefcase and a digital music player were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

NORA DR., 1100 block, 1:48 p.m. May 24. A man standing with three other men in a driveway at a residence pointed a handgun at a female looking at them from inside. When she screamed, the men fled.

NORTHAMPTON DR., 600 block, May 23. A man attacked a person and fled with cash. A man was arrested.

RUXTON RD. AND OLD COLUMBIA PIKE, 6:45 p.m. May 24. Two females attacked a pedestrian and tried to take her purse. The assailants fled empty-handed.

TECH RD., 12200 block, 1:25 a.m. May 18. Two men wearing masks robbed a convenience store of cash and cigarettes.

THAYER AVE., 900 block, 12:08 a.m. May 26. Two males attacked a male and robbed him of property.

CAROLINE AVE., 9300 block, 12:38 a.m. May 25. A male entered a shed near an occupied home and fled empty-handed when confronted.

OLNEY-SANDY SPRING RD., 3400 block, 4:43 p.m. May 21. Several youths robbed a male acquaintance in a lot behind a library.

REEDIE DR. AND GEORGIA AVE., 3 a.m. May 23. Three males near a bus stop hit a man in the head, forced him to the ground, took property and fled.

VEIRS MILL RD., 11100 block, 12:25 p.m. May 18. Five males robbed a woman in a parking garage at a shopping mall. Five District teenagers were arrested.

VEIRS MILL RD., 11100 block, 3:38 p.m. May 20. A male robbed a person outside a shopping center of personal property and fled into the shopping center.

CALABAR ST. AND SHADY SPRING RD., 10:40 p.m. May 21. A male tried to rob a male acquaintance of a bicycle at gunpoint. After a struggle, the assailant fled empty-handed.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE AVE., 19000 block, 3:20 a.m. May 25. A man demanded cash from a motorist, who got out of the vehicle to confront him. The robber knocked a cellphone from the motorist's hand, picked it up and fled.

QUAIL VALLEY BLVD. AND EMORY RD., 1 a.m. May 22. Two men attacked and robbed a cab driver responding to a call for a pickup, then fled with two other men.

BUHRSTONE DR. AND APPLE RIDGE RD., 1:25 a.m. May 25. Two men attacked a male and fled with property.

EXODUS DR., 8100 block, May 21. Property was stolen from a residence.

ASSAULTS

BALTIMORE RD., 2000 block, 9:30 a.m. May 30. A 26-year-old woman was charged with second-degree domestic assault in connection with an incident at this location.

GAINSBORO RD., 1900 block, 5:06 p.m. May 24. A 25-year-old man was charged with two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of carrying dangerous weapons with intent to harm, carrying concealed dangerous weapons, disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment in connection with an incident at this location.

MONTGOMERY AVE. E., 100 block, 10 p.m. May 28. An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old female were charged with two counts of second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in connection with an incident at this location.

RICHARD MONTGOMERY DR., 200 block, 2:10 p.m. May 29. A 16-year-old male was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon on school property and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in connection with an incident at this location.

GRANDIN AVE., 700 block, 11:29 p.m. May 22. A Silver Spring male, 15, and a 17-year-old male were charged with armed robbery and second-degree assault in connection with an incident at this location.

CARNATION DR., 1000 block, 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 21. Fifteen beers and a cable TV box were stolen from a residence entered through a basement door.

MARTINS LANE, 300 block, 5:05 a.m. May 30. A 20-year-old man was charged with second- and fourth-degree burglary, trespassing, and possession of a fraudulent government identification.

MARTINS LANE, 300 block, 6 to 6:45 p.m. May 31. A gym bag, two beach towels, a stopwatch, cash and keys were stolen from an unsecured locker at a recreational facility.

MARYLAND AVE., 1 to 100 block, 10:20 to 10:25 a.m. May 29. A wallet was stolen from a bag at a library.

MARYLAND AVE., 600 block, 6 p.m. May 20 to 12:30 p.m. May 21. Cash, receipts and a safe were stolen from a residence entered by force.

MCARTHUR DR., 400 block, 8 p.m. May 30 to 7:45 a.m. May 31. A Global Positioning System device, a cellphone and charger, a digital music player adapter, and a security device were stolen from a vehicle.

PASTURE BROOK WAY, 1700 block, 9 a.m. to 6:46 p.m. May 28. Property including a camera, jewelry, cash, two passports, a wallet, two laptop computers and a TV were stolen from a residence entered through a basement window.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1700 block, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 15. A Global Positioning System device and a digital music player were stolen from a vehicle.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1700 block, 7:54 p.m. May 26. A camera and a lens were stolen from a retail store.

SOUTHLAWN LANE, 500 block, 6 p.m. May 12 to 7:30 a.m. May 19. Eighty-five furniture-cover blankets were stolen from two vehicles.

SOUTHLAWN LANE, 14600 block, 12:01 a.m. May 17 to 5 p.m. May 20. Property including several video games and accessories, six video-game systems, a projector, martial-arts equipment, 20 remotes, four battery chargers, three infrared sensors and power cords was stolen from a recreation business entered through a rear door.

TAFT ST., 1000 block, 11 p.m. May 17 to 7 a.m. May 18. Tools, including a grinder, sanders, drywall saws, drills, hammers, utility knives, pliers, telescoping mirrors, wrecking bar sets, ratchet sets, crescent-wrench sets and a chisel were stolen from a vehicle.

TEMPLETON PL., 1500 block, 11:30 p.m. May 19 to 3:30 p.m. May 21. An attempt was made to break into a residence.

WESLEY CT., 1 to 100 block, 9 p.m. May 23 to 9 a.m. May 24. A cellphone was stolen from a vehicle.

WESTMORE DR., 7400 block, 5 p.m. May 20 to 9 a.m. May 21. A DVD player was stolen from a vehicle.

WESTMORE DR., 7400 block, 6:30 p.m. May 27 to 7:30 a.m. May 28. Four wheels and tires were stolen from a vehicle.

Takoma Park

CARJACKING

EASTERN AVE., 6600 block, 11:45 P.M. May 29. A minivan with two males inside stopped near a 2009 Scion XD. As the motorist and a passenger were getting out of the Scion, one of the males forced the passenger to surrender a wallet and took vehicle keys from the driver. The assailants then sped away in the two vehicles. The Dodge Caravan, which had been reported stolen, was recovered nearby.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BALTIMORE AVE., 7300 block, 5:50 to 6 p.m. May 30. A vehicle was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

BOSTON AVE., 400 block, noon May 28 to 5 a.m. May 29. Property was stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

CARROLL AVE., 8100 block, 12:50 a.m. May 31. A man tried to enter an occupied residence through a basement window. A was charged with attempted fourth-degree burglary.

MARGARET AVE., 500 block, 4:45 to 4:50 a.m. May 30. Property was stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7600 block, 1:23 p.m. June 2. A man was charged with theft under $500.

UNIVERSITY BLVD., 900 block, 2:49 p.m. May 28. A man was charged with transporting a handgun in a vehicle and with possession of a handgun with an obliterated serial number.

WILLOW AVE., 7100 block, 5 p.m. May 29 to 7:45 June 1. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

GARLAND AVE., 7700 block, 3:21 p.m. May 31. Two men were arrested. Charges included auto theft, theft over $500, conspiracy to commit auto theft, providing a false name to a uniformed officer and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
