-- The Take column in the June 10 A-section contained a garbled quotation from Fox News's transcript of Sean Hannity's interview with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. The governor's correct quote was: "A lot of this is wrapped in good rhetoric, but we're not seeing those actions, and this many months into the new administration, quite disappointed, quite frustrated with not seeing those actions to rein in spending, slow down the growth of government. Instead, Sean, it's the complete opposite. It's expanding at such a large degree that if Americans are paying attention, unfortunately, our country could evolve into something that we do not even recognize, certainly that is so far from what the founders of our countries had in mind for us."

-- A June 10 A-section article about primary elections for the Virginia House of Delegates incorrectly said that no Republican had filed in the 47th House District by the previous day's deadline. The state accepted the filing of GOP economist Eric Brescia by the deadline, and Brescia is running in the race.

-- A June 10 Metro article said a District man died during a confrontation with police at a funeral in Southeast Washington. The confrontation occurred several blocks from the site of the funeral.

CLARIFICATION

-- A Feb. 16 Page One article that dealt with the case of Guantanamo Bay detainee Mohammed Sulaymon Barre quoted a hearing transcript in which an officer at the detention facility said he believed that Dahabshiil, a money-transfer company employing Barre, "was used to transfer money for terrorism." The article pointed out that the allegations involving Dahabshiil were later dropped from the government's summary of evidence. After publication, an attorney for Dahabshiil said in a letter to The Post that the firm has "never been the subject of any investigation in relation to alleged terrorist funding" and that it "has no involvement whatsoever with money laundering or the funding of terrorist organizations and . . . places the highest importance on money laundering compliance." Dahabshiil should have been given an opportunity to comment for the article.
