My wife and I are headed to the United Kingdom for a couple of weeks. We're staying in St. Andrews for a few days and are wondering if you had any hotel or B&B recommendations. Also, what can my wife do in the area while I'm off playing golf?
Aside from golf, there's not a whole lot to do in St. Andrews -- but what a gorgeous place to not do a whole lot in. In addition to strolling the medieval streets of one of the prettiest towns in Scotland, your wife can tour the resident 13th-century castle, the cathedral and an incongruous Cold War-era bunker. Thanks to the student population, there's also a thriving cafe and pub scene.
