Prince William County police said they are investigating a shooting that occurred near the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC) bus terminal in Woodbridge about 11 a.m. Two men were killed, according to police.

One man was found near the bus terminal, at 14700 Potomac Mills Rd., and one was found in a wooded area along Interstate 95, according to 1st Sgt. Kim Chinn, a Prince William police spokeswoman. A dark blue sport-utility vehicle was also found near the terminal on the shoulder of Telegraph Road with bullet holes, but it was unclear whether it belonged to the victims or whether they were in the car when they were shot.

It appears that a handgun was used in the shooting, according to police.

Police said they have identified the victims and have a lead on the suspect, but the names have not been released. Both victims were Prince William residents, and one was a PRTC employee. Both men died shortly after police arrived.

Police are staging a massive search for the suspect, who is described as a light-complexioned black male in his 30s, last seen wearing dark clothing. He is 5-foot-11 and weighs approximately 210 pounds. This man is possibly armed with a gun. Besides Prince William officers, police dogs and a Fairfax police helicopter are involved in the search.

Police said they believe that the suspect and the dead men knew one another and that the victims might have been targeted. "There must have been some personal conflict there," Chinn said.
