Young Seeing Progress in Workouts
Workouts with [Flip] Saunders and his staff have been helpful, [Nick] Young said. "After you're done, you feel like you've accomplished something," Young said of his summer workouts. "I see good progress out there. It's a great feeling. You want to go take a nap" afterward.
Young said [Sam] Cassell has already told him that he plans on working with Young when he goes to Los Angeles this summer. After an up-and-down individual season and a 19-63 campaign for the team, Young's purpose this offseason is obvious.
"I just want to come back motivated, with a chip on my shoulder. I want to see more minutes."

Discussing Brandon Marshall
As we discussed just a few days ago, the wide receiver position is not exactly settled for the Redskins going into training camp. Of the 10 wideouts on the roster, you could argue only one, Santana Moss, has proven to be a consistent top performer in the NFL. Antwaan Randle El has been a good, if not spectacular, producer since coming to the Redskins. What's the point of all of this? Well, with the Denver Broncos' Brandon Marshall now on the trade market, I figure it'd be worth weighing the pros and cons of acquiring the Pro Bowl wide receiver. Because, let's be honest, with this team you never know.

Ravens Partner With State Lottery
The Baltimore Ravens have become the latest NFL team to forge a partnership with a state lottery. The Ravens announced an agreement with the Maryland lottery [Wednesday]. They become the latest in a series of NFL franchises to strike deals with state lotteries since the league's team owners voted last month to allow clubs to enter agreements permitting the use of their logos on lottery tickets. The New England Patriots and Washington Redskins were among the first teams to announce such deals.
