AU Employee Confirmed to Have Swine Flu

An American University employee has a confirmed case of H1N1 virus, the swine flu, the school announced yesterday.

The university informed people who were in direct contact with the employee, and operations continued normally on campus, where several hundred students are living this summer while working or volunteering.

The school advised people on campus to take precautions to prevent the spread of the disease, including washing their hands and staying home if they feel sick.

The employee is recovering at home and is expected to return to work soon.
