-- Sofitel's Chic Picnic package includes a free fourth night, a picnic basket filled with goodies and late checkout of 4 p.m. Deal applies to 150 properties in more than 50 countries. Prices vary. At the Hotel Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile, for example, the four-night package is $793, including $111 taxes; regular room-only price starts at $994 with taxes. Value of picnic basket averages $135 and includes items such as salads, sandwiches, wine or champagne, and soda or water. Book by July 5, and stay through Aug. 31. -- The Costa Rica Tourist Board has teamed with tourism providers to launch the Costa Rica Plus program, offering coupons for free lodging, room upgrades, food and beverage credits, spa treatments, reduced domestic airfares and discounted attractions. For example, up to two children younger than 12 accompanied by two paying adults fly free on Nature Air's domestic flights from San Jose to other Costa Rica vacation destinations. Many hotels are offering a fourth night free, and several include a free third night.
