Where: Maryland SoccerPlex, Boyds.
When: 6 p.m. TV: Fox Soccer Channel
Records: Sol 10-1-4, Freedom 4-5-4.
Outlook: While the Sol is the first team in Women's Professional Soccer to secure a playoff spot and is likely to clinch the regular season title and a pass into the championship game, the Freedom now finds itself in a logjam in the middle of the pack.
In fourth place with 16 points, Washington is a few points from second place but just four points out of last place. The Freedom fell, 2-1, to Chicago on Wednesday, making its remaining seven games critical.
Washington has struggled against the Sol, losing twice and being outscored 5-1. Los Angeles, whose only loss was on May 2 to Boston, features a dynamic attack led by the world's best player, Brazilian forward Marta.
Washington, meanwhile, has dropped two straight and scored just three goals in its past five matches, going 1-3-1 in those games.
