Today's game to watch:

Braves at Cubs, 7 p.m. (ESPN)

PERSONNEL DEPT.

Dodgers: OF Manny Ramírez was not in the starting lineup for the first time since he returned from a 50-game drug suspension on Friday. Ramírez was given the day off by Manager Joe Torre to allow him to return slowly to the majors after he missed 50 games for violating Major League Baseball's drug policy.

Marlins: RHP Chris Leroux went on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation. He was replaced on the active roster by RHP Brendan Donnelly, who was signed by Florida yesterday after opting out of a contract with the Astros five days earlier.

Royals: OF Coco Crisp disclosed that he's going to have surgery on both his left and right shoulder. He's out for the year.

Yankees: RHP Chien-Ming Wang went back on the disabled list with a right shoulder strain, and Manager Joe Girardi said he's not sure how long Wang will be out of the rotation. Wang, who missed time earlier this season with a hip injury, won't begin throwing until at least after the all-star break.

BY THE NUMBERS

14 Home runs since May 1 for Cubs 1B Derrek Lee, who is hitting .323 with 41 RBI since an April in which he hit .189 with one home run and 10 RBI.

22 Straight games with a hit for Blue Jays 3B Scott Rolen, the longest active streak in the major leagues. Rolen went 1 for 5 in a loss to the Yankees.

QUOTABLE

" In these three games, we did all the little things right."

Phillies closer Brad Lidge, who struck out the side in the ninth inning to complete a sweep of the Mets
