Police in Prince George's County are investigating three home invasion-style robberies this morning in which suspects broke into unsuspecting victims' homes, bound the occupants and robbed them at gunpoint, authorities said.
The robberies, which occurred at about 4 a.m., 5 a.m., and 6 a.m., are believed to be connected because they occurred around the same time and in the same area, and the victims offered similar -- albeit vague -- descriptions of the suspects, police said. The suspects also operated similarly in each case, wearing ski-masks and tying up their victims as they robbed the homes, police said.
Two of the robberies occurred in the District Heights area of Prince George's County -- one in the 6600 block of District Heights Parkway and the other in the 2800 block of Crestwick Place, police said. The other robbery occurred in the Glenarden area in the 8600 block of Fulton Avenue, police said.
Police said none of the victims appeared to know the robbers, who sought valuables such as big screen TVs. Often, in home invasions, the robbers are looking for drugs, but that wasn't the case this morning. Police said they believe the suspects are two black males, one wearing a dark coat and jeans and the other wearing some type of North Face jacket.
