Barricaded Man Arrested in Killing

A man who barricaded himself inside Takoma Park apartment house for about four hours yesterday was later arrested in connection with a homicide last week in Prince George's County, Takoma Park police said.

Police said Delonte Andre Gomez, 28, was arrested on Aspen Court about 6:45 p.m. in a homicide that occurred Wednesday in the 8200 block of New Hampshire Avenue.

Prince George's police said last week that Christopher D. Wright, 29, was found fatally shot there after what was believed to be a personal dispute.

5th Weekend Slaying Reported in D.C.

A 20-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday in the 300 block of 34th Street SE, D.C. police said yesterday. The man, Delonte Elliott, of no fixed address, was the fifth person slain in the city during the weekend.

Also yesterday, police reported an arrest in one of the other killings. They said Thomas Rudolph Jones, 35, of Northwest Washington was charged with second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Lee-Ante M. Brown of North Capitol Street. Brown was shot Saturday in the 4400 block of Ord Street NE, police said.
