A 20-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday in the 300 block of 34th Street SE, D.C. police said yesterday. The man, Delonte Elliott, of no fixed address, was the fifth person slain in the city during the weekend.

Also yesterday, police reported an arrest in one of the other killings. They said Thomas Rudolph Jones, 35, of Northwest Washington was charged with second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Lee-Ante M. Brown of North Capitol Street. Brown was shot Saturday in the 4400 block of Ord Street NE, police said.
