Ferlazzo Building Earns EPA Energy Star Honor
The Dr. A.J. Ferlazzo Building in Woodbridge was recently awarded the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star designation for superior energy performance.
The Public Works Property Management Division tracked the building's energy consumption and determined that it uses almost 40 percent less energy than average buildings while maintaining quality and comfort.
"Public Works was pleased when we learned that Ferlazzo showed enough efficiency to earn the Energy Star designation for 2009, because that makes us two for two. In 2008, the Development Services Building earned the award," said Martha Lueking, property management division chief.
