"CELEBRATE DAMASCUS," for all ages, the two-day event kicks off with a parade at 7 p.m. Friday that starts at the high school, plus musical entertainment on Lewis Drive and fireworks about 9:20 p.m. On Saturday, starting at 9 a.m., there will be a flea market at the Park-and-Ride lot at the corner of Route 124 (Woodfield Road) and Route 108 (Main Street), and a car show sponsored by the Heart of Maryland Classic Chevy Club at the American Legion Post on Lewis Drive. Plus music and entertainment, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Damascus Library stage. Food will be available, as will children's games and activities throughout the day Saturday.
