Today's games to watch:

Nats at Astros, 6:05, 8:05 (MASN)

PERSONNEL DEPT.

Angels: CF Torii Hunter missed last night's game with a strained adductor muscle.

Brewers: LHP Manny Parra will return to the starting rotation today after he had been demoted to work on control issues.

Indians: Activated LHP Aaron Laffey from the 15-day disabled list to start against the White Sox.

Mets: Activated Oliver Perez from the DL to start against the Dodgers.

Tigers: Recalled OF Clete Thomas from Class AAA Toledo and designated IF-OF Don Kelly for assignment.

Twins: Scratched LHP Glen Perkins from his scheduled start because of illness. RHP Anthony Swarzak started in his place.

White Sox: RHP Bartolo Colon is expected to make his rehab start for Class AAA Charlotte today. Colon's whereabouts had been uncertain a day earlier.

BY THE NUMBERS

0 Pitches thrown by Rockies reliever Alan Embree, who earned the win in a 5-4 victory against the Nationals on Tuesday night. Embree entered the game in the eighth with two outs and picked off Austin Kearns. The Rockies then scored on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the inning to break a 4-4 tie.
