Regarding the July 6 front-page story "Familiar Players in Health Bill Lobbying": I believe it was Will Rogers who said, "We have the best Congress money can buy."

He said that in the 1930s, but apparently it is still true.

What's the difference between lobbying and bribery?

It's mostly semantic.

Those who commit bribery are commonly called "crooks," but lobbyists are often called "power brokers" and sometimes "Washington insiders."

As we say in the streets of America: "same difference."
