Stuart Holden scored in the first minute of second-half injury time, giving the United States a 2-2 tie with Haiti last night in its final first-round game at the CONCACAF Gold Cup in Foxborough, Mass.

The Americans, seeking their third straight title in the championship of North and Central America and the Caribbean, finished first in Group B and will play the third-place team in Group A or C on Saturday in Philadelphia. The United States (2-0-1), which already had clinched advancement, improved to 23-0-2 in Gold Cup group play.

Davy Arnaud put the United States ahead in the sixth minute, but Haiti stunned the Americans with goals by Sirin Vaniel and Mones Chery in the first four minutes of the second half.

The United States once again started a young lineup, with goalkeeper Luis Robles, defender Jay Heaps, and midfielders Sam Cronin and Colin Clark making their first international appearances. Six of the starting 11 made their first national team starts, with those four joined by forward Davy Arnaud and defender Brad Evans.

-- MLS: Defender Patrick Ianni scored on a bicycle kick during the first minute of the second half, and the Seattle Sounders rallied for a 2-1 win at home over MLS-leading Houston Dynamo.

Ianni's winning goal -- his first of the season -- started with a corner kick from the right-wing side. Freddie Ljungberg drove the ball into the box, where Steve Zakuani headed it down to Ianni. With the ball on his right foot, Ianni bicycled it over goalkeeper Pat Onstad from the right side of the six-yard box.

Brad Davis's third goal of the season gave the Dynamo (9-4-4) the lead in the 12th minute.

Fredy Montero extended his goal streak to five games for Seattle (7-3-7) with his ninth of the year, tying it in the 31st minute.

The Dynamo, whose leading scorers, Bran Ching (five goals) and Stuart Holden (four), were competing in the U.S. Gold Cup, lost for the second time in three games. Seattle was without Coach Sigi Schmid, who was in California attending his son's wedding. . . .

Matt Reis made a career-high 11 saves en route to his fourth shutout of the season, and New England earned a 0-0 tie with visiting Kansas City.

The Wizards' best scoring opportunity came in the 64th minute. Herculez Gomez sent the ball forward to Jack Jewsbury, who snapped a header toward the goal. Reis turned the shot aside with a spectacular save.

The Wizards' Lance Watson received a red card in the 81st minute to give New England a man advantage, but the Revolution failed to capitalize. . . .

Will Hesmer made a career-high 11 saves to help the Columbus Crew to a scoreless draw with the Chicago Fire at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Ill.
