If you haven't seen the lunar lander at the National Air and Space Museum on the Mall, that would be a great expedition for the whole family. It's amazing how homemade the real thing looks, but it was state-of-the-art at the time it was built.

The Air and Space Museum has lots of moon-related events going on this month, including Countdown to the Moon Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow. You can see a complete listing of events at http://www.nasm.si.edu.

Make sure you keep an eye on your local television listings, too, for shows about the Apollo 11 landing. You can't help but get a thrill when you see the footage of the first person to walk on the moon.
