Hoping to escape the heat -- or get those kids to bed a little earlier? Families can also enjoy indoor movies this summer.

Regal Cinema Free Family Film Festival

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m., some Regal theaters offer free showings of kids' films. Each week, relatively new G- and PG-rated films are shown. (G-rated movies are on Tuesdays; PG movies on Wednesdays). The promotion runs through Aug. 12 or Aug. 19, depending on the theater. Admission is first-come, first-served and limited to theater capacity. Tickets are available at the theater box office the day of the show. For a list of theaters and what's playing, go to http://www.regmovies.com/nowshowing/familyfilmfestivalschedule.aspx.
