INDECENT EXPOSURE

VEIRS MILL RD., 2300 block, 8 p.m. July 1. A motorist stopped a vehicle near two women and exposed himself. The women obtained the license plate number. A man was arrested nearby.

ASSAULTS

CALVIN LANE, 500 block, 10:30 p.m. July 3. Responding to a report of a shot fired, police found a large crowd and two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Each was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

PINEWOOD RD., 500 block, 1:30 p.m. June 29. An assault occurred. The assailant and victim are acquaintances.

VEIRS MILL RD., 1900 block, 6:10 p.m. July 6. Several people got out of a vehicle near a grocery store and attacked a person. When a bystander tried to intervene, he was threatened with a knife. A man was arrested at the scene.

ROBBERIES

BOU AND CHAPMAN AVENUES, 2:05 p.m. July 6. Three people threatened a male pedestrian with a pocketknife and demanded cash, then fled empty-handed. Three people were arrested at a nearby Metro station.

BROADWOOD DR., 1300 block, 9:30 p.m. June 29. A man threatened two men playing basketball and demanded cash at knifepoint. An accomplice searched one of the men's bags, and the assailants fled with cash.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BELLE TERRE WAY, 9300 block, 1 p.m. June 30. A man took property from an unlocked vehicle, then fled in a black Infiniti G35.

BELLS MILL RD., 8600 block, 9:20 to 10:15 a.m. July 4. A purse was taken from a vehicle entered by force.

CARL ST., 400 block, July 6 to 7. Navigational devices were stolen from two unlocked vehicles.

DEBORAH DR., 10800 block, 9 p.m. July 2 to 6:30 a.m. July 3. Property was stolen from a swim club, and its pool was vandalized.

DEBORAH DR., 11100 block, 8:45 to 9:50 p.m. June 29. Property was stolen from an open garage.

FALLS RD., 10600 block, 9 to 11 a.m. July 4. A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

GILBERT DR., 1000 block, July 5 to 7. A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

GOODFELLOW WAY, 7700 block, 2 to 7 a.m. July 4. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

GUDELSKY DR., 9600 block, July 2 to 6. Property was stolen from a construction site on university property.

GUY CT., 1 to 100 block, 6:05 p.m. July 2. A woman declined an offer from a male to help her unload a vehicle, then went into her home. When she returned to the vehicle, she discovered that property was missing.

MILLS FARM RD., 13500 block, 11:55 a.m. July 7. Property was taken from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

MUNCASTER MILL RD., 7200 block, 1:40 p.m. July 6. Property was taken from an unoccupied building. Three males were seen leaving through a broken window.

NEWBRIDGE DR., 9400 block, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 30. A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

RIVER RD., 8100 block, 1:26 to 2:19 a.m. July 5. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 800 block, 12:35 p.m. July 2. A wallet was taken from a purse in a coffee shop. A female was seen fleeing with the property.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 12200 block, 4 p.m. July 1. A restaurant was entered by force. An intruder, found asleep on the floor, was arrested.

TUCKERMAN LANE, 7900 block, 6 to 6:10 p.m. July 3. A woman inside a grocery store distracted a female shopper while a male accomplice took a wallet from her purse.

SCOTLAND DR., 7800 block, 8:30 p.m. July 1. After a verbal altercation, a male retrieved a gun from his residence and threatened someone. A male was arrested at the scene.

EAST WEST HWY., 1900 block, 1 a.m. July 3. A man robbed a male pedestrian of cash at gunpoint.

WISCONSIN AVE., 7800 block, 12:45 a.m. July 1. A man demanded cash from someone at knifepoint, then fled empty-handed.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CAMROSE TERR., 6400 block, July 5 to 6. Property was stolen from a residence.

CRESCENT ST., 4800 block, July 3 to 7. An attempt was made to break into a residence.

DEL RAY AVE., 4900 block, July 2 to 6. A realty office was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

ELLINGSON DR., 8000 block, 3 p.m. July 3 to 6 p.m. July 5. Property was stolen from a residence.

FERRELL DR., 8400 block, 11 p.m. July 4. Two males broke into two vehicles, then fled empty-handed in a black 1980s Ford Mustang.

PARKWOOD DR., 9800 block, 3:30 a.m. July 2. Property was stolen from a residence. A man was seen fleeing with the property.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

OLD COLUMBIA PIKE, 13800 block, 12:30 a.m. July 1. A male employee of a convenience store groped a customer. She did not report the incident until July 6, when she saw the employee in the store.

CASTLE BLVD., 13800 block, 9 p.m. July 6. A man asked a pedestrian whether he could use his cellphone. When refused, he punched him and knocked him down. The victim reported the incident July 7, when the same man approached him and again asked to borrow the phone.

ROBBERIES

FLOWER AVE., 8900 block, 11:15 p.m. July 4. Four men attacked a pedestrian, knocking him to the ground, then fled with his wallet.

HAMPSHIRE WEST CT., 1500 block, 4 p.m. July 1. Two males, one armed with a BB gun, robbed a boy in an apartment-complex laundry room of video-game equipment.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BONIFANT ST., 900 block, 8:16 a.m. July 7. An attempt was made to break into a gun shop. Nothing was reported missing.

DILSTON RD., 1300 block, 5 p.m. July 1 to 7:05 a.m. July 2. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

GEORGIA AVE., 8400 block, 7:41 a.m. July 2. Property was taken from a business entered by force. A man was seen fleeing the premises.

SCHUYLER RD., 100 block, 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. June 29. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

SILVER SPRING AVE., 600 block, 3 p.m. June 29 to 6:30 a.m. June 30. Property was stolen from a construction-site trailer entered by force.

SPRING, NEWELL, CAMERON AND BONIFANT STREETS, POTOMAC, GEORGIA AND WAYNE AVENUES, EASTERN AND ELLSWORTH DRIVES, CARROLL LANE AND COLESVILLE RD., June 29 to July 6. Eleven vehicles in garages in the downtown area were entered, all but one of them by breaking a window. Ten navigational devices were among the property stolen.

ROBBERIES

GEORGIA AVE., 9700 block, 11:47 p.m. June 29. Three males attacked and robbed someone at a bus station. Three males were arrested.

GEORGIA AVENUE, 4:30 a.m. July 4. A man got into a taxi in the District, then attacked the driver when they reached the agreed-upon destination. During a struggle, the driver crashed the cab in the back yard of a residence. A man, 22, was arrested.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE. AND RANDOLPH RD., 11:46 p.m. July 2. A man robbed someone at a bank ATM of cash at gunpoint.

RED EAGLE CT., 14100 block, 11:40 p.m. July 2. A gunman ordered a motorist sitting in a vehicle to drive him to a bank and get cash. As the gunman was getting in the car, the motorist got out and ran away. Officers later stopped a vehicle and arrested three people in connection with the incident.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

AQUARIUS AVE., 2800 block, 3 to 6:30 a.m. June 29. Property was stolen from a garage at a residence.

BEAVER TERR., 13100 block, 12:10 to 12:30 p.m. July 2. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

BEL PRE RD., 2900 block, July 4. A fraternal-organization building was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

COLLEGE VIEW DR., 11600 block, 9:45 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. July 3. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

LEEDSTOWN WAY, 18300 block, 3 to 6 a.m. July 3. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 13400 block, 4:10 a.m. July 3. Property was stolen from a beauty salon entered by force. A man was seen fleeing with the property.

PONDSIDE TERR., 2400 block, 5:45 p.m. June 30. A bicycle was taken from an open garage. A male was seen riding it away.

SPARTAN RD., 2700 block, 6:30 p.m. July 2 to 6:30 a.m. July 6. A child-care center was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

WHISPERING PINES DR., 3200 block, 7:45 p.m. July 5. An occupied residence was entered. The intruder fled when confronted by a resident.

CRYSTAL ROCK DR., 19600 block, 6:36 a.m. July 6. During an argument in a home, a female threw hot oil at a male acquaintance.

ROBBERIES

CROSS RIDGE CT., 1 to 100 block, 10 p.m. July 3. Two males threw bricks at a man delivering food. The assailants fled empty-handed.

CRYSTAL ROCK DR. AND CRYSTAL ROCK CT., 1 p.m. July 2. A male on a bus grabbed a digital music player from a passenger, then knocked the victim to the ground when an attempt was made to get it back. The assailant then jumped off the bus and ran away.

FREDERICK RD., 19700 block, 4:40 a.m. July 4. Two males attacked a male behind a convenience store and tried to take his property. The victim ran into the store and the assailants fled empty-handed.

WATERS LANDING AND PICKERING DRIVES, 1:05 a.m. July 4. Three males attacked a pedestrian and robbed him of property at gunpoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ARCHDALE RD., 19300 block, 3:31 a.m. July 4. An attempt was made to break into an elementary school. Nothing was reported missing.

BETHESDA CHURCH RD., 9800 block, 12:10 a.m. July 3. Officers responding to a call about a suspiciously acting individual found a male on a bicycle and carrying a toolbox. It was later learned that the toolbox was stolen from the back of a pickup truck parked in a lot at this location. A male was arrested at the scene.

BLACK KETTLE DR., 18600 block, 9 to 9:40 a.m. July 2. A man was seen trying to break into a residence.

CLOPPER RD., 12800 block, 1:15 to 1:29 a.m. July 5. An attempt was made to break into a beer-and-wine store.

CRYSTAL HILL CIR., 20700 block, midnight to 8 a.m. July 2. A navigational device was stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

CURRY POWDER LANE, 18700 block, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 30. An attempt was made to break into a residence.

GUNNERS BRANCH RD., 19500 block, 10:30 p.m. July 1 to 6:01 a.m. July 2. Property was stolen from an apartment.

KINGSVIEW RD., 18900 block, 6:30 July 4 to 8 a.m. July 5. Property was stolen from a community pool area entered by force.

PERRONE DR., 18900 block, 4:20 a.m. July 3. An attempt was made to break into an occupied residence. The intruder fled when he was confronted.

REXMORE DR., 12800 block, 3 a.m. July 7. A navigational device was taken from a vehicle entered by breaking a window. Two males were seen fleeing with the property.

SUNLIGHT LANE, 20400 block, 2:30 a.m. July 2. A navigational device was stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

FREDERICK AVE. S., 600 block, 9:40 p.m. July 3. A male in a thrift-store parking lot robbed an employee of a bank bag at knifepoint and fled on foot.

PALMTREE DR., 500 block, 1:50 a.m. July 1. Three men got into a taxi outside a fast-food restaurant. When they reached the agreed-upon location, one of the passengers tried to rob the driver, who sped away. Nothing was reported taken.

TRAVIS AVE. AND OLD GAME PRESERVE RD., 4 a.m. July 3. A man robbed a pedestrian of his cellphone at gunpoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BEECHCRAFT AVE., 7900 block, 4 a.m. June 30. A cellphone was stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

BOYSENBERRY DR., 18500 block, 10 p.m. July 4 to 1:58 p.m. July 5. Cash and a navigational device were stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

CYPRESS HILL DR., 7200 block, 10 a.m. to 5:20 p.m. June 30. An attempt was made to break into a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

STANLEY AND ROCKVILLE AVENUES, 10:25 p.m. July 8. A man, 21, was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and second-degree assault.

ASSAULTS

WESTMORE AVE., 1400 block, 12:51 a.m. July 8. A Silver Spring man, 32, was charged with two counts of second-degree assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, obstructing and hindering a police investigation, and driving under the influence.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ARDENNES AVE., 13200 block, 4:45 a.m. July 6. A man, 21, was charged with fourth-degree burglary and theft in connection with an incident at this location. An accomplice, an 18-year-old man, was charged with fourth-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit theft.

COVE LANE, 14000 block, 2:25 to 2:31 a.m. July 9. A navigational device, a camera, a memory card, three gift cards, a business-card holder and a digital audio recorder were stolen from a vehicle.

COVE LANE, 14000 block, 5 to 6 p.m. July 10. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

CROFTON HILL CT., 1 to 100 block, 7:30 p.m. July 8 to 3:05 a.m. July 9. A laptop computer and cash were stolen from a vehicle.

FREDERICK RD., 15100 block, 7:50 p.m. July 9 to 11 a.m. July 10. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a retail store.

GILBERT DR., 1000 block, 5 p.m. July 5 to 5:30 p.m. July 6. A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

LOFSTRAND LANE, 600 block, 1:30 p.m. July 6. A man, 23, was charged with theft.

MARTINS LANE, 1 to 100 block, 7:35 to 8 a.m. July 9. A residence was entered by sliding open a rear screen and window. Nothing was reported missing.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1500 block, 2:15 to 5 p.m. July 10. A wallet and a set of keys were stolen from an office at a retail store.

ROLLING FIELDS WAY, 700 block, 9 a.m. July 6. A Gaithersburg woman, 34, was charged with theft, five counts of possession of fraudulent government identification, making a false statement to a peace officer and trespassing.

ROLLINS AVE., 100 block, 11 to 11:30 p.m. July 5. Supplies were stolen from a beauty salon.

SHERBROOK WAY, 2300 block, 4:58 to 5:02 a.m. July 10. A watch, a digital music player, a birth certificate and a briefcase were stolen from a vehicle.

SHETLAND ST., 700 block, 3 p.m. July 10 to 8:40 a.m. July 11. Property including a toolbox filled with tools, a circular saw, a cordless drill, a miter saw, a table saw, a nail gun and a jigsaw were stolen from a residence entered by kicking in a basement door.

STONESTREET AVE. N., 100 block, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 2. A camera was stolen from a vehicle at an auto repair shop.

SOUTHLAWN LANE, 14600 block, 11 a.m. July 4 to 3 p.m. July 6. An E-ZPass and cash were stolen from a business.

WILLOW AVE., 7300 block, 4:20 a.m. July 11. An attempt was made to break into an occupied home. Residents said that the intruder was probably scared off by a dog.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

KENNEBEC AVE., 600 block, 10:30 p.m. July 14 to 1:04 a.m. July 15. A 2006 Dodge Stratus was stolen. The car was recovered July 15 near Sligo Creek Parkway and Houston Avenue.

LARCH AVE., 800 block, 11:50 p.m. July 9 to 6 a.m. July 10. A 2009 Chevrolet Malibu was stolen.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7400 block, 11:30 a.m. July 11 to 7 a.m. July 12. An attempt was made to steal a Honda Accord.

ROANOKE AVE., 8200 block, 4:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. July 10. A 2007 Toyota Camry was stolen.

UNIVERSITY BLVD., 900 block, 3:30 p.m. July 10. Two men were charged with auto theft and theft over $500.
