What to Do, Where to Go on Tangier Island
Ferries depart for Tangier from Crisfield, Md., and Onancock and Reedville, Va. Fares are about $25 round trip for adults, and the ride is an hour to an hour and a half. Reedville is the closest departure point from Washington, about 77 miles from the Beltway. Take Interstate 95 south to Route 17 east to Route 360 east.
