An argument between a married couple ended in a fatal stabbing Monday night, with the husband waiting at the scene to be taken into custody, Montgomery County police said.
Officers and rescue workers were called about 9:30 p.m. to an apartment in the 3600 block of Bel Pre Road in Silver Spring, about seven miles north of the Capital Beltway, arriving to find Lamour Angela Harrison, 37, with stab wounds, police said. She was taken to Suburban Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Detectives said they think she had been arguing with her husband, Claude A. Harrison, 48, who along with other family members also lived in the apartment. "The dispute turned violent and Claude Harrison stabbed the victim during the fight," police said in a statement.
Harrison was charged with first-degree homicide and is being held without bond, police said. Bond review is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
