Strike Three for Penns?
We just don't know what to believe anymore -- and we blame Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn, two crazy kids who just can't decide whether they're divorcing or reconciling.
The acting duo -- married 13 years, together for 19 -- filed for divorce in December 2007, but called it off a few months later. Penn, 49, filed again in May, citing irreconcilable differences. But he withdrew his filing three weeks later, calling it "an arrogant mistake."
Which brings us to yesterday, and news that Wright Penn, 43, has filed once again for divorce. Divorce papers obtained by People magazine state that "both parties have already agreed to [shared] custody" of their 16-year-old son (they also have an 18-year-old daughter) and that "the estranged couple have already agreed to division of all property."
Sounds like they're really serious this time. But we won't hold our breath.
No 'High School' Wedding
Not so fast: "High School Musical" stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens aren't engaged, as was reported here and elsewhere on Monday.
Reps for both actors say they're still together -- but reports of an imminent marriage ceremony are "not true," the San Francisco Chronicle reports. The faux-gagement news was first reported over the weekend in Britain's News of the World.
One Squirrelly Vacation
It's August. It's hot. And it's hump day. So here's a funny picture of a squirrel!
The folks at National Geographic came across this gem -- which has since gone viral on the Internet -- when Melissa and Jackson Brandts submitted it to the Your Shot online photo gallery. The Minnesota couple was vacationing in Canada's Banff National Park and set up a self-timed photo, with Lake Minnewanka in the background, when "this curious little ground squirrel appeared, became intrigued with the sound of the focusing camera and popped right into our shot," Melissa wrote.
Expecting: Canadian songstress Celine Dion is pregnant with her second child. Dion, 41, is due to give birth in May. Her rep told Reuters that Dion had help from fertility doctors -- as she did to conceive her first child, 8-year-old son Rene-Charles, with husband Rene Angelil.
Settled: A bitter divorce between actor John Cleese and his third wife, American psychotherapist Alice Faye Eichelberger. Eichelberger, 64, gets more than $13 million in cash and assets, including a house in London, an apartment in New York, and half of a beach house that's for sale in Santa Barbara, Calif., Britain's Telegraph newspaper reports. Cleese, 69, is not amused: "What I find so unfair is that if we both died today, her children would get much more than mine," he said. Eichelberger and Cleese each have two children from previous marriages.
Quoted: "There are many times where even I, at certain points in the evening, after a few drinks, can't pronounce my own surname." -- Ukrainian actress Milla Jovovich, 33, to Britain's Daily Express.
