SEXUAL ASSAULTS

MOUNT VERNON PLACE AND BLANDFORD STREET AREA, 6:55 p.m. July 31. A man groped a female pedestrian. When the victim screamed, the man fled in a dark blue van.

RESEARCH BLVD., 1600 block. A sexual assault occurred at a business. A 31-year-old man is sought in connection with the crime.

ASSAULTS

MARYLAND AVE., 1 to 100 block, 2:55 a.m. Aug. 1. A male intervening in an argument struck a man in the head with a bottle. No injuries were reported.

ROBBERIES

LEWIS AVE., 2300 block, 10:50 p.m. July 30. Three men asked a pedestrian for a dollar. When he reached into his pocket, they attacked him and robbed him of a backpack.

RIVER RD., 3:22 p.m. Aug. 3. Three men in a white 1999 Mercedes-Benz attacked a passenger and robbed him of cash and a cellphone. The victim said that he had intended to make a drug purchase.

WICOMICO ST., 8:45 p.m. Aug. 1. Four people wearing masks robbed a man near a Metro station of cash and a personal music device. The assailants fled in a black four-door vehicle with tinted windows.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BLUEGRASS DR., 9900 block, 3:12 a.m. Aug. 2. Someone attempted to break into a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

BROOKSTONE CT., 7200 block, 6 to 10:30 p.m. Aug. 2. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

REDLAND RD., 17600 block, 9 p.m. July 28 to 8 a.m. July 29. Property was stolen from a deli entered by force.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 700 block, 6 p.m. July 29 to 6:45 a.m. July 30. Four wheels were stolen from a 2008 Dodge Ram at an automotive dealership.

SHADY GROVE RD., 16100 block, 5:55 a.m. July 29. Property was stolen from a beverage store entered by force. A male was seen on the premises.

STONE TRAIL DR., 8200 block, LILLY STONE DR., 8000 block, STILL SPRING CT., 8300 block, FENWAY RD., 8200 block, and CARDEROCK DR., 8300 block, Aug. 2 to Aug. 3. Tools, personal music devices, a radar detector and sunglasses were among property stolen from five vehicles. Three of the vehicle were entered by force.

ASSAULTS

WESTLAKE DR., 10200 block, 11:43 a.m. Aug. 1. A man backed his vehicle into another person's vehicle. After the two motorists drove to a nearby gas station, the man threatened the motorist and two employees of the business. A 31-year-old Bethesda man was charged with aggravated assault.

ANGLETON CT., 3700 block, July 28. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

BERKSHIRE DR., 6000 block, 2:50 a.m. July 28. Two men seen removing a bumper from a 2001 Acura were detained by police near the Wildwood Shopping Center. Other stolen property was found in their vehicle. A 27-year-old Germantown man and a 26-year-old Rockville man were arrested.

BETHESDA AVE., 4800 block, 9 a.m. July 31 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 1. A GPS device, CDs and clothing were stolen from a vehicle that someone entered by breaking a window.

MCKENNEY AVE., 10100 block, 3:05 p.m. July 31. On the pretext of taking a survey, two males forced their way into a home and robbed a woman of cash.

QUEBEC TERRACE AND RUATAN STREET, 9:15 p.m. July 31. Three men robbed a male pedestrian of cash at gunpoint.

STATESIDE DR., 1300 block, 2:30 p.m. July 30. A male youth knocked another male youth to the ground and robbed him of jewelry.

HOMICIDES

BEL PRE RD., 3600 block, 9:29 p.m. Aug. 12. Lamour A. Harrison, 37, was found in her apartment with stab wounds. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. A 48-year-old man of the same address was charged with first-degree homicide.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

UNIVERSITY BLVD., 700 block, 7:02 p.m. Aug. 2. A 31-year-old man was charged with indecent exposure.

ROBBERIES

JUDITH ST., 4400 block, 10:09 p.m. July 27. A man put his hand over a woman's mouth as she leaned into a car. When her screams attracted a passerby, the assailant fled to a dark-colored sports car and drove away.

PRINCE PHILIP AND LINDENWOOD DRIVES, 8:45 p.m. July 30. A man threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of property.

VEIRS MILL RD., 11100 block, 4:02 p.m. Aug. 3. Three males robbed a man of property. A 19-year-old D.C. man, a 16-year-old Takoma Park male and a 16-year-old D.C. male were arrested.

ASTRID CT., 2400 block, 2 to 8:30 a.m. Aug. 2. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

WATERS LANDING DR., 13100 block, 11:35 p.m. July 30. A man punched a cab driver in the face in an elementary school parking lot. Four other men joined in the attack, then searched the cab for cash. The assailants fled empty-handed.

GIRARD ST., 400 block, 9:30 p.m. July 30. A 26-year-old Germantown woman was charged with aggravated assault.

WEST SIDE DR., 800 block, July 31. A dispute between a landlord and a tenant resulted in an arrest for aggravated assault.
