D.C. police have arrested a Southeast Washington man in connection with the fatal shooting of a Hyattsville teenager in May, authorities said.

Arthur C. Joiner, 24, has been charged with first-degree murder in the killing of Angelo L. Johnson, 18, authorities said. Joiner was arrested Thursday in Silver Spring.

On May 28, authorities said, police received a report about a shooting and went to an alley near the 5000 block of D Street SE. There they found Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
