Police in Prince George's County are searching for a man believed to have robbed three banks in recent weeks by posing as a customer, then handing a note to the teller demanding money.

The man robbed a Bank of America on Old Branch Avenue on Aug. 10. Exactly a week later, he struck another Bank of America branch on Woodyard Road. Most recently, Aug. 20, he robbed the BB&T in Forestville.

The man never showed a weapon, and in only one case did his note imply that he was armed, said Cpl. Clinton Copeland, a Prince George's police spokesman. The man wore no disguise except a baseball cap pulled low, Copeland said.

Copeland declined to say how much money the man took. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Robbery Section at 301-772-4905.
