ASSAULTS

MILBERN DR., 11600 block, 2:33 a.m. Aug. 8. During an argument, a man someone. A Germantown man, 20, was arrested.

SOUTHLAWN LANE, 600 block, 1:20 p.m. Aug. 3. A person at a manufacturing business was attacked and struck several times. A 27-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with aggravated assault.

ROBBERIES

FREDERICK AND N. STONESTREET AVENUES, 10:25 p.m. Aug. 4. A male asked a man for cash and was refused. The victim was then attacked by the male and five men and robbed of cash.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BALTIMORE RD., 800 block, 3:52 a.m. Aug. 5. Property was stolen from a beer-and-wine store entered by force.

CADEROCK DR., 8300 block, Aug. 3. Tools were stolen from two vehicles.

FENWAY RD., 8200 block, Aug. 3. Three unlocked vehicles were stolen. Nothing was reported missing.

FERRARA DR., 3900 block, Aug. 9 to 10. Property was stolen from an office entered by force at a swim club.

FOXDEN DR., 13200 block, 2:57 p.m. Aug. 6. Two men broke into an occupied residence and fled when confronted. Two 18-year-old men, one from Gaithersburg, were arrested.

LAMBERTINA PL., 13700 block, 10:30 p.m. Aug. 9 to 12:30 a.m. Aug. 10. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

MILL RUN DR., 7200 block, 8:15 p.m. Aug. 8 to noon Aug. 9. Someone tried to break into a swim center.

ROCKCREST CIR., 7:30 p.m. Aug. 7 to 8:30 a.m. Aug. 8. Property was stolen from a residence's garage.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 800 block, 1:31 to 6:45 a.m. Aug. 9. A 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from a car dealership. A Temple Hills man, 43, was arrested.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 800 block, 6 p.m. Aug. 9 to 9:40 a.m. Aug. 10. Someone tried to break into a furniture store.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1000 block, 4:51 a.m. Aug. 6. Property was stolen from a beer-and-wine store entered by force.

RUTGERS ST., 300 block, 3:50 a.m. Aug. 8. A break-in occurred at a residence. A 22-year-old D.C. man was arrested.

ROBBERIES

LONE OAK DR., 6300 block, Aug. 6. A 17-year-old male tried to take cash from a female acquaintance. Police are categorizing the incident as an armed robbery.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BRADLEY BLVD., 6000 block, RIVER RD., 6900 block, TRENT ST., 5400 block, and SANGAMORE RD., 5200 block, Aug. 5. Five thefts from vehicles occurred, three overnight in residential neighborhoods and two during the day in commercial parking lots. A Bethesda man, 19, was arrested in connection with the incidents.

CEDAR LANE, 9600 block, Aug. 7 to 8. Property was stolen from a church.

CHASE AVE. AND CHESTNUT ST., Aug. 7 to 8. Change was stolen from three vehicles, two of which were unlocked.

CHELSEA LANE N., 4700 block, 12:10 a.m. Aug. 7. A man tried to steal property from a vehicle but was interrupted and fled after the car owner saw him pull on the locked door and confronted him.

DEWITT DR., 99600 block, 12:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. Aug. 7. Someone tried to break into an apartment.

NICHOLSON LANE, 5000 block, Aug. 10. Someone tried to break into a car rental business.

PRINCETON AVE., 6000 block, Aug. 7. A residential break-in occurred. Nothing was reported missing.

WILSON LANE, 6300 block, Aug. 7. A residential break-in occurred. Nothing was reported missing.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

CITY PLACE AREA, 6:52 p.m. Aug. 7. Someone was sexually assaulted. A 42-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested at the scene.

ASSAULTS

FEBRUARY CIR., 11500 block, 2:30 p.m. Aug. 6. During a domestic dispute, a woman threatened to kill a female acquaintance with a butcher knife. The assailant also assaulted responding officers. She was arrested at the scene.

HAMPSHIRE WEST CT., 1400 block, 9 p.m. Aug. 6. In what was described as a fight between neighborhood groups, a man with a knife made threats. A Hampton, Va., man, 19, was arrested.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8600 block, 10:10 p.m. Aug. 5. During a domestic dispute, a man with a knife threatened an acquaintance and then fled the residence. Upon his return, a man, 21, was arrested.

WHITMOOR TERR., 200 block, 10 a.m. Aug. 8. A man went to the residence of a female acquaintance. The 39-year-old man who answered the door made threats while wielding a machete. He was arrested at the scene.

DOMER AVE., 500 block, 11:59 p.m. Aug. 7. A man robbed two people of a purse and other property at knifepoint.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 1 a.m. Aug. 8. A female asked a pedestrian for help her with her car, then led him down a footpath at Cottrel Terrace, where he was attacked by four males and robbed of property.

WAYNE AVE., 600 block, 10:10 p.m. Aug. 3. Two male teenagers attacked a woman, knocking her to the ground, then fled with her purse.

COLGATE WAY, 13700 block, 9 a.m. to 6:43 p.m. Aug. 3. A residential break-in occurred. Nothing was reported missing.

ELKIN ST. AND BLUERIDGE AVE., 9:45 p.m. Aug. 9. Two men robbed a man and a woman of property at gunpoint.

GRANDVIEW AVE. AND REEDIE RD., 9:16 p.m. Aug. 10. Two men assaulted a pedestrian and robbed him of property from his pockets.

MOLINE RD., 3300 block, 11:26 p.m. Aug. 10. A man got into a taxi, robbed the driver of cash at gunpoint and fled on foot.

URBANA DR., 2500 block, 4:45 a.m. Aug. 10. Two men got out of a vehicle and attacked a male walking near a Metro station. After taking the victim's wallet, the men fled in the vehicle.

GEORGIA AVE., 11400 block, 2:35 a.m. Aug. 6. Property was taken from a liquor store entered by force. A bald man wearing a purple baseball cap was seen on the premises.

GEORGIA AVE., 11500 block, 1:05 a.m. Aug. 9. A residential burglary occurred. A 26-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested.

GEORGIA AVE. AND NORBECK RD., 3:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Aug. 4. A catalytic converter, a muffler and a tailpipe were stolen from a Toyota Takoma parked at this location.

GUNNERS BRANCH RD., 19600 block, 10:15 p.m. Aug. 6. A male followed a male into a restroom in a fast-food restaurant, punched him in the face, tried to rob him and fled empty-handed.

MIDDLEBROOK RD., 11500 block, 10:15 a.m. Aug. 11. A man robbed a bank.

RAINBOW ARCH DR., 23400 block, 11:45 a.m. Aug. 6. Three males attacked a teenager and robbed him of property. Three males, ages 14, 14 and 16, were arrested.

ARCHDALE RD., 19300 block, Aug. 3 to 4. An elementary school was broken into and vandalized. Nothing was reported missing.

POWHATAN CT., Aug. 8. An assault occurred. Police said that it was a domestic incident. A 29-year-old man was charged with aggravated assault.

RUSSELL AVE., 700 block, 6 p.m. Aug. 7. Three women took merchandise from a business, then tried to run over a security officer with a vehicle. Three Montgomery Village women, ages 23, 23 and 27, were arrested.

SUMMIT AVE. N., 1 to 100 block, Aug. 9. During an argument, a man struck a man. A Montgomery Village man, 38, was arrested.

ROBBERIES

STANDARD CT., 10 p.m. Aug. 8. Four men robbed a female of property.

WATKINS MILL RD., 19000 block, 8:45 p.m. Aug. 7. A white Lexus with gold trim and tinted windows stopped near a male pedestrian. A female passenger got out of the vehicle, took property from victim, got back in the vehicle and fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CLOPPER AND LONGDRAFT ROADS, 2 p.m. Aug. 5. One of three males conversing at a bus stop stole a purse from a woman; the males then fled.

COTTAGE HILL CT., 8300 block, 2:25 a.m. Aug. 8. A man got inside a vehicle and removed a GPS device. He fled with the property when confronted by the vehicle owner.

EARHART CT., 18900 block, 3:15 a.m. Aug. 5. Property was stolen from a pool hall entered by force.

FLOWER HILL WAY, 18400 block, 3:55 a.m. Aug. 6. A person broke into a residence and fled when confronted by an occupant. Nothing was reported missing.

LOST KNIFE CIR., 18300 block, Aug. 6. A residential burglary occurred. A 23-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested.

MOONEY DR., 18700 block, 8:50 a.m. Aug. 9. A man who appeared to be homeless was discovered in a storage shed at a business. He fled before police arrived.

GLENSIDE DR., 7500 block, 12:01 to 6:30 a.m. Aug. 13. A 2005 Dodge Caravan was stolen. The vehicle was recovered in Hyattsville on Aug. 14.
