A Prince George's County judge on Friday sentenced a Maryland man to 40 years in prison for the murder of a pregnant woman last year, State's Attorney Glenn F. Ivey said.
Circuit Court Judge Dwight D. Jackson imposed the sentence on Robert M. Headley, 49. Last May, Headley pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Christen H. Hawkins, 21, of Jessup.
Hawkins's body was found May 27, 2008, in a wooded area near a municipal swimming pool in Laurel.
