A Nationals Park employee was stabbed in a kitchen at the stadium Friday night after an argument with another stadium employee, D.C. police said.

Officers said the incident occurred inside a kitchen next to the Presidents Club about 8 p.m.

A team spokesman, however, said the incident occurred in a service tunnel. "At no time were customers involved," the spokesman said.

The employee was wounded in the chest, but the wound was not believed to be life threatening, police said.
